Thanks guys.

Tanith, he is very slightly taller than the standard DP due to the way I have the legs posed.

Firepower :D

Kizzdougs, thanks buddy. No idea when I'll get round to painting it but I'm quite keen to see it finished as well.

Dorns Fist. You know you loves it! ;P

Thrasius, thanks mate. They'll be worked on soon hopefully.

Love the KOS brother, especially the lower arms.

Personally not a fan of the Tyranid legs and would like to see a proper bull head in keeping with the original designs for the KOS from way way back but then I am old school like that!

But great work mate, love where it is going all the same!

Nighthunters, thanks buddy. I'll try and disguise the Nid legs a little more with some Gs. As for the head I've actually ordered one of the Marauder horsemen horse heads (with the eyes covered) to give it a bit more of the classic look. Watch this space.

Midnight, thanks buddy. Yeah I fancied a change so thought Id go with the God of pink and fluffy for a bit. :-)

Hellchyld, again thanks buddy. Good to see you back around the board.

as an unexpected Crimbo pressie I'll soon be building something along the lines of these,

Or possibly a certain Daemon Primarch. I also have to build a lot more Zerkers and CSM to run my Kharns butcher horde. Watch this space :)

So spent a bit of time on the Bloodthirster today, I'm still trying to figure this guy out so a lot of areas still need work. Especially the armour on the lower legs.

Then I started thinking about an axe for him. The one from the Ven Wolf Dread is far too puny. So I made a really really rough concept of an appropriate size.

Really enjoying working on this guy though and hopefully will have another update soon.

That is some mad kitbashing, buddy -- as expected ;) I just love the kitbashed axe in the last few pictures!

Two small suggestions, if I may:

- for the shin armour, I'd suggest using the armour plates from the Maulerfiend arms. I've used them on numerous monstrous conversions of my own, and they always deliver. Plus they should add some much needed mass to those lower legs...

- ...which nicely ties into my second idea: My main gripe with the base model is that it looks so lanky -- you've managed to take some of that away with the added breastplate, but maybe you should try adding some mass to the model's shoulders and chest? Right now, the porportions are are the greatest detractor from an otherwise excellent kitbash!

Oh, and who is that Termie guy used as a scale model in some of the pictures, btw?

As always, keep up the amazing work! :)

Dat axe !

Rejoice ! Rejoice in the blood of our Lord !

I'm with KS on the shins, too lanky and requiring different armour plates, but I'm struggling with suggestions.....need something less straight-up-and-down.

You're on the right path though, and you're doing a far better job than I could !  Finally, that Butcher is such a tease......

Thanks guys,

Kraut the proportions will be worked on a bit as I have the same issue with the kit. I have a shoulder plate made up for it but it still needs a little work.

I'm also thinking of switching the wings for some Terrorgheist ones. The lower armour plates are actually a Defiler battle cannon that I split they're far too weedy and straight so need to look around for something to replace them and I agree the lower legs need a bit more mass.

The axe is based around the Wilf one but with a blade from the Necrosphinx added. Needs a lot of work. I may actually pop my plasticard cherry and make an axe from scratch for this guy although I do have a bit resembling the FW Daemon Prince.

Oh and that 'Butcher' ain't no puny Red Butcher he commands a squad of Justaerin and you'll see more of him elsewhere soon. :)

Wow man, haven't really checked your stuff since we were gonna do star phantomso ( I was furioso-prime), now I feel dumb.

Your mind is a very dark playground where I would love to spend an eternal recess! Great work.

Oh and if you haven't noticed around the boards, I have finally turned my back on the Imperial lie.

30k/40k world eaters for me.

Blood for the blood god

prime.

Found this lurking through McGib's stuff after seeing his Beastman Khorne army in the HoH. Food for thought :

Of course, that'll be ages away, some sixteen years I believe, as the bairn takes your attention. :biggrin.:

(got present, will return excess soon, with tithe)
