Imperial Fists *Archamus wip and Land Raider complete*

@Rhetoricus: Thanks! After cleaning it up a little and adding the tracks, I can then start adding all the guns. Then it truly will be a monster!

@jeremy1391: Good question. The main reason is I have had these parts floating around for nearly a year now, its just I thought I'd finally assemble it now so I can take it in some apocalypse games. Plus this variant, although using home rules, has more guns and looks insane when finished. My other bit of motivation is the Imperial Fists Expansion II and the World Wide campaign on Dakka Dakka. Since apoc games are worth more to their zones, thought I might need something bigger!

Well, slight update. Finished the tracks and rear fuel drums. Also put the front armour plates on. I must say that the tracks were very frustrating to do and I have the glue covered fingers to prove it! Glad they are done though, and just need to green stuff the gaps and start adding more guns.

As always any c&c is most appreciated.

You know I've never been a fan of tanks ever. Not a single land raider, rhino or even a bike anywhere in my force. But I love this. I've always wondered about a big showy centre piece for my fists too. For the longest while I thought I might try my hand at a titan. But this is just too perfect.

I'm seriously considering giving the iron breaker a go. Imagine that eh Syth the Eidelweiss and the Iron Breaker back to back in battle? Magnificent.

I have to say, you're doing an immaculate job on this beauty. Keep it up mate.

@Biohazard: About the same as a Baneblade really. Even the newer Forge World ones look around the same size.

@almightyjesus55: It is. When I add on four sponsons, it will look even bigger!

@Rhetoricus: Cheers! That's high praise indeed! The Edelweiss is coming along well, and it would indeed be a sight to see both of them of the field of battle together!

@Midnight Runner: Cheers! I do plan on adding a whole slew of rivets when I've done patching it up. That way it will hopefully look more cohesive.

@interkino: Thanks! Its already proving to be a lot of work, but I am enjoying seeing this monster taking shape!

@NightHunters: Cheers! Starting to bulk it up now.

Have another update to the Edelweiss. Added half the sponsons, did some GS fixing and put in the engine. I think my next stages are to finalize the GS, put in the rivets and the rest of the sponsons. The rivets I'm predicting are going to be fiddle-some, so any advice on that front would be most appreciated.

Here are the pics.

As always and c&c is most welcome!

Those single tracks can be a pain, but they're well worth it. I have parts of the same conversion kit for my nurgley dudes. I got about as far as you, but I'm still stumped as to how I'm going to do the turret. Looks like you're going full-bore ahead! Can't wait to see it in yellow!

Cheers! Its slowly getting there. For the first turret, I'm going to sink it into the tank somehow and magnetize it so it can rotate and come off easily. I'm also thinking off increasing the height of the rear sponsons to at least the lascannons can all slam into one target, but we shall see. Thanks for the encouragement though! And I really need to start painting soon, seems everyone else in the expansion has already started!

As an addendum, wish I would stop getting distracted my old oop marauder Dwarfs!

@Rhetoricus: Thanks for the encouragement!

Its been nearly a month since my last update. One month into the IFE 2 and I have not painted anything yet! Still modeling the Edelweiss. Made some more progress on it, and mainly just need to add details such as rivets and Imperial Fist iconography. Starting to get sick of seeing this gigantic lump of grey to be honest!

For the rear sponsons, I wanted it raised, as I wanted an increase in the field of fire for the lascannons. I thought it would be harder to do than it actually was so am quite happy how they turned out. Simply cut up spare bits from the empty Baneblade armour plates and built it up.

Still, nearly at the end of the construction and then the fun can begin. Let me know what you think.

There we go! Nearly there mate. You may well be getting fed up of seeing grey, but you must be starting to feel an enormous amount of satisfaction now surely? I am from just looking at it (coupled with insane jealousy haha) and you built that!

It looks beautiful mate. Really, really beautiful and I love that you've used chronos - perfect. I can't tell you how much i'm looking forward to seeing her painted. Do us proud. There really is no CC for me to give, you've totally nailed it.

The Edelweiss is coming along great, the rear sponsons look like they rolled out the manufactorum like that. I have to echo that I can't wait to see this painted as I know you will do it justice. Great work brother.

@Rhetoricus: Thanks! Only a little more work on Chronos and he will be done. Just got to fill the U on his shoulder and put some heraldry there. Thanks for the encouragement!

@Gearhart: Thanks for the kind words! The Fellblade is taking along time to build, but its getting there!

@Biohazard: Cheers! quite pleased with those rear sponsons, as originally I thought that might be too hard to do. Glad that in the end they were relatively painless, which is a nice change! I too can't wait to get some paint on it, just want to attack it with some Golden Yellow!

@Battle-Brother Ludovic: Yes, those rivets will be along the 'bare' sections. Been holding off on them as I know its going to be painful, but I'm at that stage now.

@Kierdale: Thanks! The look I'm going for is exactly that, insane amount of guns! Almost like a land battleship!

At long last the Edelweiss is complete. Took a while, but am now ready to paint! Due to the lighting, some of these shots didn't come out very well (plus it is night), but I assure you there are rivets all over those plasticard plates!

Let me know what you think! Priming will start tomorrow!
