Next up from me I will be painting my dread, and I have also started work on my Mephiston replacement based on the Dark Vengeance Chaplain (nothing is sacred from my hobby knife....mwhahaha!!!) Midnightmare Posted December 19, 2012 Author Share Posted December 19, 2012 Glad you like him guys, yes as his moniker indicates he is a very bad man indeed :devil: (all in the name of the Emperor of course!) @ death given form - the axe head is from Astorath the Grim - I did want to keep the spine haft but lost it much too my disappointment! @ DK2K - the mask? If you mean the severed head at his waist I think it is from an Ork kit of some sort. Or if you mean Valek's head (it is kind of a flesh mask as you can see his bare skull at the back of his head!) that is a FW Worldeater Terminator head. Oh, and his knee pad is repositioned Sanguinary Guard item :) @ Bio, yup that film is crazy bad, which actually makes it awesome! I remember it came out the year I left school (showing my age here....) At the time it was not active and I since I dont practice the art of threadromancy I just left it in the "God I wish they would carry on with that" box. Then I have a mini hiatus due to real life and when I get some time back, I come on here and wha dango!!! Your busy pulling of some great stuff. I have to say I have loved the Flesh Eaters since back in the day and you really do them justice. The red you use is perfect not too bright but a vital red. Contrast that with your vampire esque blue skin and your on a real winner. A unique looking army modelled and painted to amazong (typo but I like the sound of that word, I may TM it) standards. And then there is Valek!!!!!!! What a beast he is supreme! I love the gold really love the gold it just works so well with his skin tones and the red. Midnightmare Posted December 19, 2012 Author Share Posted December 19, 2012 Many thanks for all the amazong* comments guys again, it will force me to update this thread more often ;) my interest in my FlAngel's of Death never wanes, but unfortunatly my hobby time does :D @ Quixus - I did dry fit some Astorath wings but they did not suit the pose at all, and I did try a few other jump packs but this one seemed to look well enough without drawing the eye too much and suited the iron halo. @ Firepower - I know what you mean about the cloak of skulls, but it only really became apparent once they were glued down, and boy are they glued down :lol: it also doesn't help that the size of his own head, as it is a FW item, and they always seem slightly smaller; but the pure rage it conveys meant there could be no other. Overall it is not too noticable me thinks - well I hope not 'cuz Mephy is going to get the same treatment (how else would I cover such a huge Dark Angels badge....!!) @ DK2K - I wish, my painting is far to sub-par for Golden Demon!! I may have a go at whats new today though, if anybody has a link?
