Dread Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 The flames are a plumb from a chaos marine helmet or head, if I remember right. I actually need to work on the flame a bit, not perfectly happy with it yet. I did this several years ago and now finally painted. The crusaders are in base stage but the rest were already about a third of the way done, that's why I didn't pledge them. I can if you like, would be great and keep me at it. I'll take pics and send them and let me know if I can enter them. Thanks Photobucket is down so I will post pics tomorrow. You say Tuesday... we cannot have it soon enough! I think the DA forum is lagging seriuosly behind. The average completion rate of the ETL has climbed to 15% we are currently at 4%(!) Furthermore the we no longer have the highest vow-count... We really need to get some completions under our belt in order to get back in the game because frankly, we are entering the "DANGER ZONE" Your second vow is noted but the table will not be updated before you officially declare completion of the first! B) The Marines are more or less basecoated, experimenting a bit with Sgts robe...ill go for a ok tabletop standard, if i go perfektionist, i wont make it^_^ Still miss a few colours, but working place with better light + my improved DIY wet palette REALLY helps! RayJ Posted June 25, 2012 Share Posted June 25, 2012 Update on my vow: TDA Librarian - Complete 25/30 Bodies painted and based. All Meltagun & BP/CC arms are now primed. Still need to fit up the bolters arms for the 2 tac squads and get them primed. Venerable Dreadnought is now primed as well. Pictures will be uploaded to my thread tomorrow. Visit it here I'm on schedule to have all 30 marines done by the weekend, which is good, because I'll probably be doing a ton of 6th Edition testing the whole weekend. Getting early access on Friday, taking the day off work and going through it all with a group of 3 other veteran players so we can demo on Saturday. Will use my findings to launch a new version of the Playing Dark Angels thread too, since it will all be completely invalidated on the 30th. Either way, all these models are in some fashion being used in my last 5th Edition tournament, so I knew the vow would be a safe bet (I need to have them painted for use in the tournament). I have others that I'm working on too, but they use wargear from other codices, so they weren't included in my vow. Tournament is on July 14/15, so all of this will be done and I'll still have another month for expanding into other vows. Will probably focus on HQs/ICs for the best points/time ratio. I hope you declare completion really soon because the situation is dire... @ DA team: Guys, let me just give you a bit of context here: The DAs are LAST in terms of completed points. By that I mean they are even behind the Ordos that all their vows put together (complete and incomplete) are in the order of 5.5k! And we have pledged 38.3k!! Incidentally, the command squad is now finished, and I'll put pictures in my WIP thread shortly.
