That's a fantastic take on him. You've really gone the extra mile with the paintjob, with the more elaborate highlights on the armor and the subtle lens glow. Love the deep colour of the loin cloth, the lantern and the orc is just chef's kiss.

Actually bought several copies of Bayard's revenge, one of which I'm saving to paint and try to really outdo my usual painting standard with.

Thank you! I'm glad you like him. Painting the mini to this standard was a challenge. I bought him from somebody who didn't assemble the mini properly so I had a lot of fixing to do. In the end, everything turned out well and was a fun project.

I really regret not buying the mini when it was available. I blame it on my stubbornness (or narrow-mindedness) - not wanting to mix my squat-Templars with Primaris scale models. If only I had thought to paint something not for the army but just for fun. Alas.

I also tried new things with this project and tried to do my best.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you handle the model that you've saved.

So, I technically managed to paint them before GW deletes them in 11th Edition. It remains to be seen whether I'll manage to field them in a game, though.

Regardless, I got these models the year they were released (still seems like it wasn't that long ago). They're way better in person and I had some fun working on them. Having said that, I'm glad that they're done - they have a lot of details and it took me 2-3 painting sessions more than I anticipated. Also, I must note that these were 'rushed,' i.e. I feel that there's way more that I could do and probably should customise them more but it is what it is.

I'm really focused on getting my army done this year.

These Centurions are highly inspiring! The entire crusade still alive after one-hundred and forty-thousand hours is a testament of your faith and an example to us all!
