Amazing stuff with only one criticism and ONLY because the rest of your work is stunning; Ā I think your freehand text could use some work. Ā Looking at your Stormeagle, the Land Raiders and the dreads, I think that the writing needs to be more crisp. Ā Those Blood Angels are great, but the green blood drop looks a little sloppy. Ā You've got amazing colors and schemes and detail work, but then I look and I see a wavy Legion number or writing and it takes away from an otherwise sensational job. Ā It's so much better than I could do, but I think your best work currently is the stuff without that writing. Ā All of the other freehand is great and I love your stuff.

I really don't have anything constructive to say about this thread and your work in general, so I've put off posting until seeing that Titan. Your Emperors Children are probably the best I've ever seen. The Warhound in the World Eaters livery has really brought to life scenes from Betrayer. Absolutely superb, the scheme, the weathering, everything. I most sincerely hope that you'll be continuing the Warhound's scheme onto the upcoming Mechanicum units Forgeworld have previewed. That scheme on the new Legion tank would be awesome beyond words.

Ā

I implore you to continue. We are not worthy!

Ah sorry mate i missed that!

I start with a basecoat of Warplock bronze from GW
Then i paint it with Sycorax bronze from GW
Then i wash it with Sepia from GW
Then i mix Sycorax bronze with Mithril silver for the highlight
And a last highlight with only Mithril silver.

Hope that helps you out! :)

Hey Everyone!!

Ā

I placed a really large order at FW to finish off my World Eater army!

Now i only have 1 problem!

I need to make it work in 40k....Ā

I have played several lists so far but its kinda hard to get something proper that fits the army fluff wise and works on the table in 40k...

Ā

CSM are really not my thing why?Ā

- Hard to find a proper model for the hell drake.

- 2 contemptors playing as hell brutes sucks.

- Raptors are bad without proper support

- Close combat terminators are not that great.Ā

Ā

Making a working close combat army in this edition of 40k without using Fiends and Spawns is almost impossible...

Or am i wrong now?

Does anyone have a suggestion? Please let me know!

Ā

Then the other army that does fit the World Eater profile a bit fluff wise is Blood Angels.

Ā

Why blood angels?

- Contemptors are playable as furioso dread with blood talons in drop pods

- Rampager are playable as Death company

- Apothecary's can be played as priests

- Propper close combat terminators

- Storm eagle is playable as Stormraven

Ā

So for now i'm leaning more to the blood angels but i was wondering if anyone of you have some cool idea's or suggestions?

Ā

Cheers

I agree with Irwit on all accounts. I know for a fact that Contemptors are sanctioned for use in 40k and my store has three people that are using them regularily. Storm Eagles I've only seen on the table during Apoc however. The BA makes the most sense as they are the "dedicated" close combat chapter out of the current options, while the SW's are mid ranged specialists and DA are, well, DA. I think you have the right idea!

Hi everyone!

Ā

I have some big Announcements to make!

Since today i opened a facebook page and a Youtube channel!Ā

Here are the links:

Ā

Here you will find daily updates and little video's of my work and of course tutorials!

Thanks in advance!

Ā

Then onto some other stuff :)

Last tuesday i got this HUGE box from Forgeworld and started to work on the models in my spare time.

Here are some WIP pics of the models so far!

Ā

And some WIP on fulgrim!Ā

This model is in my opinion by far the best model GW or Forge World has ever made the detail on it is really amazing!

How do you go about doing your purple on Fulgrim's chest? I've stripped probably four or five models trying to figure out a dark purple that doesn't take a million steps to complete. The easiest one I have that I am content with requires eight different steps, so I'm hoping your recipe calls for a little less.

I'm not sure why I haven't posted in here before. Your models are brilliant.Ā

The purple is only just the base color so far...

I worked on the gold after that and want to finish the gold first before i go back to the purple since he has so many little decorations that are really hard to do when i would finish the purple first...

But the color i used is Hexed lichen from the Vallejo Game color range.

True i started with that but then i saw all the detail and thought how on earth i am i going to paint those gold rims without messing up the purple again!

So i stopped the purple and and went for the gold at this stage the gold needs to get highlighted to the final color.

So thats why you see a highlight ;)
