undeadfilth Posted September 28, 2012 Share Posted September 28, 2012 I had previously made a large vow(9 bikes, 5 termies, 10 tacticals, libby, chappy, company master, sammael). I already said in my WIP that I am now unable to finish my vow currently due to my father in law being in the hospital in poor condition. I was hoping that what I already have finished can be considered my completed vow(chappy, 10 tacticals, and 5 termies). I hate to go back on my word, but certain things are just more important. Mystech1 Posted September 30, 2012 Share Posted September 30, 2012 Vow Complete! Decided to make a DIY DA successor Chapter. Love the Disciples of Caliban paint scheme and fluff so went that route. Had a hard time separating the green and black, even after adding some white to lighten the green. Also couldn't get the highlights correct, but overall I'm happy with end result. The blue-green stripes on the eyes are meant to simulate a snakes eye, but again my painting skills come up wanting. I may add a half diamond or some kind of marking in the same blue-green to the backs of their hands, but haven't made up my mind yet. I call them Ophidians. Their current fluff has them in a similar role to the Disciples of Caliban, with extra emphasis on secrecy and obfuscation. During their hunt of the fallen they do everything they can to maintain the smallest possible visible profile (up to and including a forceful mind wipe from the Chapter's plentiful Librarians). Often times mistaken as DA or DoC due to the similarities in paint scheme and Chapter Symbol. This confusion is more than acceptable and often propagated by a Chapter who's motto is: We were never here. A rare image of Tactical Squad Vizzen. Might be worth keeping an eye out for a revitalised Brotherhood of Angels to develop your DIY chapter further. We are enarly there!!!
