Sviar Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 After successfully finishing my Interrogator-Chaplain in September, I do hereby vow to have 5 Ravenwing bikes, with Sergeant+meltabombs and Plasma Gun user (160 Pts) painted by the end of October. (I'm sticking to something easy whilst I investigate priming dark angels black and painting caliban green with a brush or using a spray gun. Any advice would be welcome, maybe I can get them done in October too! No promises yet) I use Fortress grey to highlight black armour. After priming with Chaos black spray I take a brush and lightly cover the marine with Abaddon black(sometimes I follow up with Badab black on top of that). I also use Fortress grey as a foundation on areas that should be white before applying Ceramite white. I don't know if this was the advice you were looking for, in that case just ignore this post. Here it is in in its current state: Main colours are down but still needs a lot of finish work/highlighting/clean up and I have to get a base for it. The only thing it still needs is squad numbering and I am holding back on that until the new codex comes to make sure I dont have to do it twice. djgoldsmith Posted October 3, 2012 Share Posted October 3, 2012 I djgoldsmith do vow to resist any temptation to touch the dark vengeance miniatures until the rest of my unfinished models are painted. So for October I will complete 1 tactical squad, with plasma gunner / cannon. That have recently been rescued from hard fighting on the dust filled wastes of the bedroom bookshelf. For a Points value of 205. I know its a clean up, and decal job but these guys (and a couple if other squads) have been in need if a techmarine since about 2005. Starting pix. I managed to basecoat every model for my vow, and even get colour on a few. September vow of 5 gunslinger vets 175pts *completed*. October vow of a DV company master 125pts. *working* 3 gunslinger vets, plasma gunner vet, and a droppod 175pts(addition to sept vow). I still have to go get the vets but here are the company master and the droppod. Completed chapter/company master. Also completed 4 vets to fill out september's vowed squad.
