Not gunna lie, I don't personally love the Gue'vesa rules from the Taros Campaign. I would love a Supplement or something to expand it further.

 

Give them a good send-off!

The Gue'vesa are in the Simple Green having a good bath prior to preparing them for inspection by the Commissar ;)

 

In the meantime, The Sentinel is done along with 3 Missile Teams on my home made bases. The plan is that the Lasgunner can be removed as a wound marker or if the team is not being used then it gives me 3 extra Lasgunners for my troops ;)

Those missile rocket launchers turned out great, good work Elmo :tu: Good to see the Sentinel finished as well keep up the excellent work! :D Reminds me that I've not done nearly enough hobby of late...

Man, those are some excellent miniatures!

And a good home made base for indicating wounds. I'll be doing something similar, but using a magnet under the guy who is expandable :D

 

Oh and thanks for the good angles of the missile launcher team. I really needed the perfect angles you gave here. I am looking for shorter missile launchers and was thinking of what the Cadian launchers looked like from the side. And now I know :D

From your very high quality pictures I now can see that I can shorten the missile launchers to suit my needs. Thanks!

That inner glow effect is really good!

I have no secrets... ;)

 

The flame/smoke marker was from a YouTube video I saw and had to try out. Really quick and simple to do. I used pva rather than a glue gun, cotton wool instead of pillow stuffing and a mixture of black and grey spray paint. You just need to lightly spray the paint on.

I picked up 4 of the tea lights for €1.95 at my local diy store, and they flicker too - added bonus flame effect :)

Too bad penal legion is gone. I'd know where I'd put some Guevesa if they were still in the codex. The army shot looks great, by the way, a fine looking army.

Love the full army shot, but it seems to be missing something...  Infantry!!!     I always expect an IG army to have at least 50% Infantry on the table, but I believe you already have a few ideas to correct this so I'll leave it at that.

 

That Smoke / Destroyed Vehicle marker is pretty cool as well.   Did you do that yourself?

They are self made but I believe they can be bought on eBay.

 

There are more guardsmen in the painting queue (about 60), also more tanks ;)

My powers of resistance are low today...

 

My son has been saving his wages and is about to invest in a Warhound so I will be joining in and ordering 3 of the  Vanaheim pattern Medusas and these will be my counts as Basilisks as I will add some tubing to extend the barrel length when needed.

 

As a side note, I was checking the sprues for the Basilisk on GW website and it shows that you get the vehicle accessory sprue with it too... so track guards anyone ;)

But then again, I usually play "elite" armies. Lets see how that goes with the guards...

Well... The guard is all about hordes of troops and heavy armour ;)

 

I will be working through them in between tanks as a break and there is only so much chocochip you can paint before your eyes go...

 

I will post some photos of the Reaver as he builds it but it is a part of his army and not part of the 711th. I am a little concerned as it is his first resin model and he has a habit of rushing things but we will see ;)
