elmo
The wait will soon be over. Just need to work out how many photos I will need to take for all the options ;) WarriorFishs comment reminds me of another saying about a certain aircraft.. "A collection of rivets flying in close formation." :)

WarriorFish
Very, very nice work - but I see photobucket has thrown a wobbly over some of the pictures. This is why we recommend using the superior B&C gallery ;) With the last picture it looks like a pre-painted kit you just have to stick together :P Did all the camo give you much trouble in the end? WarriorFish
Much better, can see all the variations now :) Truly excellent work elmo, it will take pride of place leading the 711th to victory! :D elmo 1 Back to top
elmo
Still got the Baneblade/Hellhammer from the Hammer of Cadia box but that can wait for this years ETL The camo took a little thought but I just had to follow it logically from the tracks upwards to make it all link in. Obviously the hardest parts where the side skirts which have to fit in the 3 different locations. When I do get round to doing the second Baneblade I will have to follow the pattern across so I can use 4 sponsons on one when required. scatmandoo
That all looks great. So much great effort put into this. Big well done. elmo 1 Back to top
Kierdale
I'm all out of likes already today. Excellent work, Elmo! Really impressive. I like the kill markings on the long barrel. Could you show us some close-ups of the crew? WarriorFish 1 Back to top
WarriorFish
Yes that's a good point, we've got all the pictures showing off the configurations so it's time for a few close ups to show off the details ;)

WarriorFish
Breakfast at this late hour? All that wasted painting time - you're slacking in your duty, commissar! My day starts with getting up with the larks; then executing one to enforce the rule of silence until 0800. There's no such thing as the RSPB in the 41st Millennium. Or maybe there was, but we executed them all for interfering with commissariat affairs? Hard to remember sometimes.
elmo
This Commissar started off the day locating provisions for the men before he himself considered it acceptable to break his fast. A good commander looks after his men first then himself. The Emperor, all blessed be His holy name, expects members of the Commissariat to lead by example and courage. The wife sent me out shopping ;) A sad note - whilst transporting the Baneblade from the photo-booth to the display cupboard one of the commanders seems to have lost an arm. He will of course be punished for this infraction before being fitted with a replacement so unfortunately the following pictures as requested by Kierdale are not as complete as I would have liked and as usual the extreme closeups make those small mistakes in the paint job look worse than they actually are. :( Also I forgot to mention or show that the pintle stubber is also magnetised ;) So in no particular order here are the closeups Arcima, Ldorte, WarriorFish and 5 others 8 Back to top
Ldorte
Wow, it looked great from a distance but can now really appreciate the amount of work you put into it. Amazing result!
scatmandoo
Wow the detail is amazing. How do you do the lenses? I could really do with doing this across my range. As for the blasé commander, maybe he should be tasked with flying a banner from the hatch? elmo 1 Back to top
WarriorFish
The lenses came out very nicely, especially the headlights. Great work elmo :D
CoffeeGrunt
Very, very pretty! A pity about the armless Commander, but that's what bitz boxes are for, right? :P
elmo
I can't find another left handed las-pistol in the bits box so he is going to have some binos just like Capt. Everson ;)

Kierdale
Outstanding work. And. -as usual- done so quickly! Your lenses are always impressive, and I really like the hazard stripes on those doors(?).
