Knight of the Raven
This is probably what the Promethium War looked like. (Without the makeup and L'Oréal hair care.) Onisuzume
Eight-pointed star inquisition symbol? Either that, or its the lighting playing tricks on it. WarriorFish
It's the reflection from the L'Oreal job, I think it counts as inflicting the Blind rule. Fibonacci
Eight-pointed star inquisition symbol? Don't let Furyou Miko hear you say that .... Pick up a Sisters of Battle model and look at what she wears on a chain around her waist. That is an Imperial symbol, not the Inquisitorial =][= This picture has the correct icons. vonny
yes, ][ and sunburst is ecclessiarchal symbolism. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275100-the-art-of-sisters/page/10/#findComment-3526494 Share on other sites
*Furyou Miko
Eight-pointed star inquisition symbol? Either that, or its the lighting playing tricks on it. It's a corrupted (or just slightly middrawn) Ecclesiarchy symbol. It should only have six points (three on each side), where these have an extra point on the top and the bottom. Don't let Furyou Miko hear you say that .... Pick up a Sisters of Battle model and look at what she wears on a chain around her waist. That is an Imperial symbol, not the Inquisitorial =][= This picture has the correct icons. Thank you, Fibonacci. :p Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275100-the-art-of-sisters/page/10/#findComment-3526718 Share on other sites
Onisuzume
Except that the Lexicanum shows the Adeptus Ministorum symbol to have five points on each side... As for the models themselves, I see a bunch on the GW site with one or two points on either side. The Dialogus with three on either side, but members from those orders help inquisitors out frequently enough anyhow. Those Crusader Henchmen are also shown with three prongs on either side, in multiple locations. AdmLancel
I just leave it as Ecclesiarchy has a sunburst, Inquisition a triple bar. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/275100-the-art-of-sisters/page/10/#findComment-3526983 Share on other sites
*Furyou Miko
Probably the sanest way to remember it. There is some variance, after all, and the 'sunburst I' is a good way to remember it. I was just amused at the verticle lines that aren't on other versions making it chaosy. xFallenx
Overall, his evolution is really quite impressive. I like this one a lot, as someone said in the comments, it has a blade runner feel to it that I really dig on... that being said, a bit more trash would have been ideal, but at this point that's just nit picking. Knight of the Raven
The high heels are there to better humiliate you when they step on you. Which is why Minotaurs should wear them. *Furyou Miko
Heels are a callback to John Blanche's work. Man had a serious fetish. Even the blokes he draws wear them. WarriorFish
More like Hive World - Fabulous III, and I thought we agreed mentioning Blanche was heresy? Unless it's the 2nd Edition box art or another piece that he deigned to put some effort in to... Just thought I'd mention that most of his work is in the form of concept art, sketches, etc. so I would argue that his "lack of effort" is probably quite voluntary. WarriorFish
Yes, but that doesn't mean that I have to like concept art and sketches making it to the final product :P Granted you probably can't blame the guy if that's all that's apparently required to earn his pay but when you look at things like the 2nd Edition box art you can't help but feel we missed out on some great art.
