I have not seen an update to my completion status of my 3rd vow, which I had submitted quite a few days ago( most likely the post was lost when the server rebooted). Again, my 3rd vow of 8 Thunder hammer storm shield terminators is completed!

Metic, please read the "special update 2" a few posts back. The forum suffered a huge hit resulting in the deletion of all the posts since July 12. Given the situation there is no point in updating the first post as the linked vows / completion posts after July 12 are gone. As far as I know there is still a possibility for them to be recovered but be that as it may, we continue with no page 1 updates.

 

I still made the last weekly update (#12) based on my personal records that are complete and include all vows and completions. Yours is definitely in (as is everybody else). So you carry on "blind" if you like, until the end where my VERY detailed Final Report (again based on my private records) will shed light on everything.

Well Captain, my First reaction would be to Lunge When a lesser chapter of the Astartes so boldly dares to call me Blind. But considering the Vox Transmission hasn't been working properly since the warp storm I'm guessing it's put you on edge. Although I do appreciate your quick response to my inquiry, Captain. I will be more mindful of your weekly updates in the future.

Well, you will be "blind" and so will everybody else in the sense that you have no concrete way of knowing what's going on apart from little hints I'm going to throw here and there... ;) in a way it's even more fun! In future ETLs I might enforce a "radio silence" in the last week to render everybody "blind" just to heighten the anticipation! :D

The difference however is that in 2018, so much awesomeness will be concentrated in Oklahoma that the Richter scale will zoom into triple digits, very likely causing a fracture in the crust. Now, I'm not saying don't do that, just letting people know that they need to be prepared and have their affairs in order because 40K as we know it will cease to exist. :)

 

I got the first two chaplains when they first came out (BT codex release) and along with laughing hysterically at the price tag on the blister, was still impressed by how well they are sculpted. The amount of menace and pure "I'm going to kick your butt across the galaxy" attitude in the poses is just amazing. What's funny about the pose is that it's such a simple thing, a skull helmet and a slight tilt to the head while gazing to the right. I'm not sure who sculpted them, but I would sure like to shake his/her hand.

 

Now, if at all possible, please do attempt to complete yours before 2018. I'll wait that long if I have to, but I'd rather not. ;)

 

Really looking forward to the completion of your assault squad.

 

Note: I'm excited as my third land raider just came in the mail. I had a plan B, but this other guy will have more awesome sauce.

Excellent! Three completions in a row for the BTs and a promise of completion of two mega vows! Can the BTs perform a last minute miracle? Will have to wait and see... For the time being you're slightly below the BAs, 2k behind Chaos and 2.5k behind the Codex.

 

@ Brother Darklight: I think there is a distinct improvement in your style since last brother. An awesome force there, something you should be rightly proud of! :tu:

 

@ DasPanzerIstUber: lovely piece of hardware there brother! This cannon sure means business! Congrats on the completion. :)

 

@ Oreo: first-off a great idea keeping the shoulder pads black. It's sure gives them a more sinister look along with the tear and wear... Also that Techmarine... Awesome man, truly awesome. And the termie with raised AC? Got the exact same pose for one of my Disciples of Caliban...

Please note that the first page shows things as they were on July 12. After the loss of all the posts between July12 -Aug 04 there was no point updating the first page as there were no posts to link to. I hope the posts will be recovered but the first page is not, i repeat not credible anymore. All we have now is my private records which have kept all the information intact and which I'm constantly updating with completions and new vows.

 

Now that this is out of the way, Urkh's list is accurate - and Suriael has indeed completed his first vow (second one is pending though ;) ).

 

Also Urkh? vow registered - good luck! :)

Brothers, my vow is complete. One DPIU-style Executioner ready to push for victory!

 

Brother I have to ask... where did you take the Executioner Plasma Cannon from? always wanted to build my own Executioner without the 30k style look of the FW version...

@Semper: Thanks! I've gotten used to these newer Citadel paints and how they all have a "roll" or whatever you'd call it. Bases, Layers, Drys, etc..  I'm really liking what you can get done with those when used properly. 

 

@Panzer:  Dat Plasma Pred!  Excellently done!

 

@oreo:  Holy Terra, those look nice!!

 

 

Heading to the LGS this afternoon for something.  Considering grabbing an IC of some sorts to go with my 2nd vow, haven't decided what yet, though.
