So, a while ago I called up some Chapter veterans, and upon hearing what's up they were more than happy to join the Crusade over the boring non-combat duties their previous Marshals had them performing in the outer edges of the Imperium. The travel took a while, but here they all are now. And as such...

Right, the boring points stuff:

- Emperor's Champion -> 90 points

- Castellan Draco: Artificer Armor, Master-crafted Power Sword, Boltgun, Bionics, Assault Grenades (<- official equipment back when he had his own rules, and in addition:) Iron Halo, Terminator Honors -> 162 points

- Marshal Beiler: Power Axe, Combi-Melta, Mantle, Holy Orb, Honours -> 170 points

Total: 422 points

Brothers, my vow is complete. One DPIU-style Executioner ready to push for victory!

Brother I have to ask... where did you take the Executioner Plasma Cannon from? always wanted to build my own Executioner without the 30k style look of the FW version...

It is just the Leman Russ Executioner gun, trimmed to fit on to the bottom half of the Predator autocannon. All I did was file and cut until it fit nicely. Easy conversion but I was lucky because I had the gun leftover from my IG army.

@ longfang66: A very important completion this one, not only for providing us with some amazing models (because this was awesome usage of the knights - and I'm a DA), not only for adding a hefty 690pts to the BT cause but also for securing another 791 pts! Bravo longfang - you should be rightly proud with your work, it's simply top notch! Completion registered.

 

@ Honda: A white LR? WOW!!! Just WOW!!! Look at that thing!!! :woot: Keep 'em coming Honda - this is awesomeness incarnate!

Actually, I am one of "those", but since the doors were FW and I didn't have time to rip off all the aquilas and replace them, I just decided to run with it. I figured I'd get more grief for the color, "So like Black Templar dude, where's the black?" :)

Just to show I'm still in the fight, here are the last before pics that I have...

 

  • Reclusiam Command Squad - Flames of Hate
  1. Sergeant - Frag Grenades + Krak Grenades + Crusader Seals + Terminator Honours + Power Fist + Bolt Pistol + Power Fist+ Combat Shield + Artificer Armour
  2. Banner Carrier- Frag Grenades + Krak Grenades + Crusader Seals + Terminator Honours + Sacred Standard + Bolt Pistol + CCW + Combi-Flamer + Artificer Armour
  3. Champion- Frag Grenades + Krak Grenades + Crusader Seals + Terminator Honours + Artificer Armour + Storm Shield + Power Axe + Combi-Flamer
  4. Apothecary- Frag Grenades + Krak Grenades + Crusader Seals + Terminator Honours + Combi-Flamer + Bolt Pistol + CCW + Artificer Armour
  5. Sword Brethren Veteran - Frag Grenades + Krak Grenades + Crusader Seals + Terminator Honours + Flamer
  6. Total: 366 pts.

And Capt. Semper Another FInal Swap for Points as these guys were built when the server went down so one guy has the wrong weapon Load-out... instead of having a Combi-Flamer like the rest of the squad, Brother Apothecary Lieupert took the Combat Shield and the Artificer Forged Sword of a previous Sword Brethren, and so -5pts. for no Combi-Flamer and adds 30pts. for a Master Crafted Power Sword and Combat Shield

 

4. Apothecary - Frag Grenades + Krak Grenades + Crusader Seals + Terminator Honours + Combat Shield + Bolt Pistol + Master Crafted Power Sword + Artificer Armour

Reclusiam COmmand Squad Total: 391pts.

 

Coming with a Vow total of 3071 pts.

All that are vowed have been painted to standard, just adding final touches and going to my local tomorrow with my camera to take snaps of them in painted terrain.

Vow complete -- 9 assault terminators (6 with TH/SS and 3 with 2xLC -- I changed the armament on one, so it's 6:3 instead of 5:4. They're the same point values, so I hope that's acceptable). Here are some shots.

First, just the brethren who actually count for the vow:

And with the Master of Sanctity they guard. (The Master of Sanctity has recently been chastised over his use of proscribed battle drugs, however, and may soon become less formidable in combat. He has appealed the decision, but at this point the appeal seems just a formality ...)

That's it. Done. I may fail my cardiology exam Friday morning, but at least I've done my duty to the Emperor and the Black Templar!

Okay, it's weird following up behind Brother Krikey as I'm no where near as good as he is, and those guys look absolutely fantastic. Either way my 660 point vow is done.

Yeah the bases are boring but 90% of what I've painted doesn't have their bases finished yet either.

With that my duty for now is done.

I Brother Darklight answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete a Marshal with Power Sword, Storm Shield, Artificer Armour, and Adamantium Mantle from the closing days of the glorious Codex: Black Templars of total value 160 on or before August 15th. Success will bring eternal glory to The Black Templars and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end.

Sadly I won't have time for that Command Squad.  This summer took all sorts of whacky turns.

 

Since WYSIWYG, here's my justification:

 

Power Sword: duh,

Storm Shield: duh,

Adamantium Mantle:  Codex describes this as an ornate cloak/cape of the strongest material.  He's got a cape. Lol.
Artificer Armour:  Armour will have gold plating (might be entirely, might be sectional, havent decided yet) like that of the High Marshal

 

Does that abide well with the good Captain? ;)

I would expect the Angels of Darkness to understand better than others, that the only place Templars park their Land Raiders is over the crumpled bodies of heretics, traitors, and xenos scum.

My vow is done...<I must confess that I had to rush this model. The base coat has not adhered and is coming off on my hands. So I will put it back into the Simple Green for a longer soak and then repaint. Very, very annoying.>

Also Captain, my 5th vow finished up at 1551 points.

4 x Chaplains, 1 x TDA, 3 x Jump packs, 1 x twin lightning claws, 2 x cenobytes, 3 x plasma pistols, 2 x Land Raiders, 1 x pintle Stormbolter, 1 x Search light, 1 x Land Raider Ares/Achilles, 1 x dozer blade.

My vow is complete. Sadly, an impromtu move across the state means that his vow took me 10x longer than it should have, and will be my only one sad.png. The warp storm nearly claimed me!
