Sooo I am back...probably was not missed by many if any...haha

but none the less I am back doing my orginal Legion of Dark Angels and Night Lords still

I picked up the Night Lord Upgrade pack and after looking at the price and realizing I have 30 marines to do...and not a lot of money...I started to think...

I had picked up some Instant mold back earlier this year for my Dark Angel Pads I was going to do this with but I took a hiatus right afterwards

as you can see I need to work on it a bit more but for the most part after a quick paint job I think they wont look to bad...

Already got my first bolter legionare started up anyway...need some other stuff for him but I think this can work pretty well...

He was a Space Wolf Wolfguard when I played that was part of the Deathwatch Campaign I was in but I decided to either turn my remaining Space Wolves to fallen Wolves who are now Chaos...woo...this left this guy and a few others...

 

And we all know that most Night Lords are scavengers...sooo...boom Champion with Lightning Claw, Bolter, Yes a shield from the Lizardmen and yes that is Death Company legs...haha

First off yes...dreads

 

Second yes a lot of bits just allllllll over the place

 

Third...it is because I just moved a few months ago and the new place had hardwood floors that got soaked and had to be replaced by the apartment complex so I had to quickly move and remove my stuff...not really organized my stuff yet...it is just...

Nice one brother. It is a fairly aesthetically pleasing combination of bitz.
He does look a bit too loyalist at the mo for my liking though. I like my NL's to be menacing.... I reckon a spiky chaos backpack wouldn't go a miss.

As for the combat shield, I'd either have it attached to the other hand, or tethered to his side or back.
It wont do him much good on the hand he'll be hitting folk with :D

Looking forward to a NL's Con Dread.

see I was thinking that as well with the shield but then I my train of thought was he fired with his right hand *BIG SURPRISE THERE RIGHT* and during boarding actions were there is no cover his shield would be it so that is why it is on that arm instead of the other...thought about putting another on his other arm but then said no...haha

Can anyone guess why he is the Aspiring Champion of Third CLAW...haha...I crack myself up at times...

 

I got the idea from the Iron Snakes Book were the Lightning Claw was missing a blade making it a three blade claw

 

I actually had made two squads of Iron Snakes with a Captain but I gave them to a friend so his son could have a decent starter army...

I have got 2 squads finished using blood angel bits across the squads were they killed them and used the armour and just painted over it...

Yes that is the Deamonette head from the Grey Knight pack...and yes I totally bent the hair to make it look like it was hanging that way...

I guess a bit of background as I am putting more then just my shoulder pads up here

 

the 96th company of Night Lords is more then just Night Lords

 

The Commanding officer of the Company is or was a Raptor...

 

Not only that but his pack of fellow raptors touched down on the Imperial Place walls before anyone else.  Granted he was one of the few survivors but hey you don't get to live a long time without surviving...

 

I will be doing mostly Night Lords from here on out but on top of the 20+ Night Lords I have a 10 man wolf pack from my Space Wolf days that have sworn their current alligence to the Chaos Lord.

 

As well as a small company of Word Bearers as well as Iron Warriors have aligned with the Night Lords to play to each others strengths...and because they are chaos...weaknesses

 

And to top it all off

 

My Dark Angels that I playing

 

Are not really Dark Angels...granted they are painted green and use their codex while in play...but they are the largest group of Fallen gathered since the Horus Heresy...with all those Terminators that I run it brings me to a total of 30+ Terminators and almost a full company of Fallen Angels...gives me a Company full of Marines running around with their bolters...haha

 

Granted that is just the overview and I will add more as I get this stuff moving along...

actually that is what has already been finished...the only thing I am doing now is replacing shoulder pads on the night lords with my copies and making then adding to the army...maybe repainting my word bearers...that and 40 plus bezerkers...that have somehow amassed over the years without me buying the boxes...I literally have no real idea where they came from no one in any of my groups except one guy in the last 8 years plays khorne...

Indeed, what Kol said. Though I have to say I love how Night Lords and Word Bearers (with the help of some World Eaters) are running the WIP section these days lol.

Well as the Self-Proclaimed Recruiter of the Gloriously Broken VII Legion, I have absolutely no clue as to how that happened. :P

 

I blame A D-B's Night Lords series and HH books. :whistling:

 

EDIT: Olay, so all you really got is painting the rest of them?

not even painting the iron warriors or word bearers...have about 20 word bearers 5 terminators and a dark apostle in terminator armour

 

then the Iron Warriors has about 30 guys plus another 5 terminators

 

I will have to post them up after I get back from vacation next week...

 

but with all my stuff I plan on changing a few things...

 

but like I said over time I might change those other legions to my night lords...

Just got back from vacation the other day and been a bit busy so only had time for a few smaller things...

 

 

Going to repaint my iron warriors to double if not triple the amount of night lords I have just the need for so many shoulder pads

I was going to use him as a part for my Dark Angels piece with a circle of angels around one guy...but they are getting turned into a new legion...

Might be hard to get rid of the eagle on the venerable but a left over first batch shoulder pad for the arm should help...haha

We all know that the Night Lords never got the Imperial Eagle to wear thus my relic comtemptor would not work...sooo

 

I did some first layer Green stuff to fix at a later date and seeing that I made to much thought I would go ahead and do two more guys and some other stuff...

His left leg deamon has now been covered up and his deamon shoulder has been cut out and a night lord one put in place...I think maybe a chosen or maybe an aspiring champion just got to make sure he stays out of challenges...haha

well just finished building my second claw to add to the other two claws one more to go

 

as well as the Lord in Terminator Armour

 

and seeing that Dueling is the new thing when it comes to Champions

 

both Champions are set up with their come gets some attitude...

well I would fall under just the casting
 
20 bucks for an upgrade kit that was suppose to become cheaper with the new stuff instead of more expensive then the metal version is a bit of a kit in the rear there...

Nice lord Capitano ;) Don't worry, my guy is getting some refurbishing so we'll be a little more different, what really sucks is that they gave us such a great basis for a model so many chaos lords will end up looking like different shades of the same color. Still awesome though, Ave Dominus Nox.

thanks for the feedback...I am mass producing 5 at a time shoulder pads...got enough to finish what I have right now worth of Night Lords but I think another 10 or so for future projects just in case probably wont hurt
