I say again buddy these guys are looking great. Kudos for keeping a decent standard on the unit. Like I say mine got 1 base coat and wash each before I got rid, I'm gonna be using converted Cadians now.

You know I think that may actually be the thing I disliked about the cultists. Apart from a couple of head swaps there isn't a lot you can do with them without getting into stupid amounts of work. Anyway great work as always mate, only 4 to go now though.

The lack of diversity is the main reason why I'm still wondering if I should include cultists in my Thousand Sons army. In any case, your paintjobs are excellent and I'm following this thread closely to see what comes next. Kudos!

Err, I may do the chosen from Dark Vengeance and then Kranon. Not sure really. I may have a job soon so I guess the updates will slow down a bit...

... or maybe they wont :D

Thanks!

Although I think the attention to detail is dropping as each mini gets completed! :biggrin.: The metal studs and bionic eye are awful :biggrin.:

I know how painful batch painting 20 were - so even keeping to a decent standard is still totally fine :P

This guy was turning out okay until I did the mask. I may go back and re do the stitching around the face.

Well, I never thought the day would come when I would have all twenty cultists complete, but today is that day!

And here is a small group shot of the last five I completed.

Not sure what is next, but the temptation to complete all of the Dark Vengeance stuff (at least the chaos side anyway) is pretty strong.

Started a test mini on my first chosen model.

These models are infuriating really. A little like the cultists, the models look pretty awesome in general, but there are a lot of areas on the mini where the plastic is stretched due tot he moulding process. It's just so annoying.

The cultists look great buddy. Awesome job. As for the DV minis I know what you mean. The Deathwing Termis are even worse than the Chosen for the random stretched plastic where there clearly should be an armour gap

I've also noticed that whilst the details on them are really great, after one watered down layer of paint it's difficult to pick the details out again. Having to be pretty careful with the whole mini :/

This is a horrible miniature to paint.

The detail on these minis is pretty remarkable, but what I have noticed (for me anyway), is that once they are under coated and you put just a layer of paint on them, the detail seems to disappear.

Anyway, he's just another WIP. Still need to finish him today, but I am hoping this is a one off, as the other chosen models seem to be much better cast.
