I really need to learn how to paint Silver better. So I am hoping to look into different techniques whilst doing these. I am honestly intimidated by the detail on these models. Mate, they all look Badass as is, you're already outdoing yourself with the quality of these guys, so go for it!I mean, not everybody takes more than a week or two to paint a bunch of cultist meatshields ya know. I really want to be good at mini painting, so I keep trying to push myself. My silver (to me) looks really messy, I want it to be "clean". Plus I am really really crap at the game, so I try to make up for it with trying to do some decent minis. You have these comic (almost cel-shaded) black shadowed contoures, and then beautiful reds, fleshcolours and stuff like that. sockwithaticket Posted April 6, 2015 Share Posted April 6, 2015 Maybe it's my display, but your red looks like it has a slightly pinker tone, which, personally, I think looks great. A lot of GW's newer stuff seems to be almost overloaded with details that are actually quite difficult to get at and paint neatly, sounds like you're experincing the same with these a little.
