I am a free agent then, I can paint whatever I like. God knows I have a large enough pile of stuff. I may have to do some fantasy shizzle, which will sadly take me away from posting on these boards for a bit :( (at least painting part at any rate!). I have the following I may do: - Lord on Bike - 2 x Forgefiends After those, the army has everything I will likely use until the codex gets an update (which isn't looking to be any time soon). I may paint up these for the sake of painting them: 10 Raptors 10 Warp Talons 5 Converted terminators using robed type bodies 5 chaos spawn (the real models, not the Gal Vorbak I use - purely because I can). Khorne Lord of Skulls (no idea why) Chaos Knight Dark Apostle However, it is pretty likely I will be working on my Grey knights and Ultramarines a lot more, and some undead (which obviously I can't share here!). Sad realisation really, and the above is plenty to be getting on with, I will just miss these guys! Tzen Posted August 10, 2015 Author Share Posted August 10, 2015 Well, I am a little gutted. A while ago, when the Dark Apostle model came out, I bought it. Up until now I have had no issue with finecast at all. But the model is just really poor. The cursed crozius snapped off (and is bent). The head and the chestplate are so distorted and without any real detail, and the model doesn't fit together very well at all. I have only ever in my life stopped painting one model, and that was the Kor Phaeron model which tuned out to be a chinese knock off. This Dark Apostle model is in worse condition than that :/ Sadly I have decided to just not continue. Tzen Posted August 11, 2015 Author Share Posted August 11, 2015 I've managed to push on and get this model done. I may post a quick picture in a minute, but its a very rushed job. I like the shade of red (which is what I would have painted my entire army if I had my time again). The sheer amount of pot holes on the back pack is amazing, im surprised I didn't notice them when I first bought the mini. The face is a mess. I have done what i can with it, but yeah, such a depressing model to paint, I actually really like it on the GW website too :( Not sure what is next. I have my ultras and Grey Knights to continue.
