Very very nice...I wish I could have gotten a hold of krom....

@mikey are the other spaces regular SW kits or unique?

It's kinda silly how little stock they made for the release isn't it.

In the Stormclaw set? krom is unique but the rest are the regular SW sprues you'd get in the Grey Hunter or Wolf Guard kits.

I'm not sold on the red storm shields, i think black would work better to break things up a bit.

But hey I'm not here to tell you how to do your thing.

I just judge, thats my thing. happy.png

But really your grey hunters are the sex, a little bit of line edge highlighting goes such a long way wub.png

Great work dude, keep it up!

Edit: Great tutorial on your blog also, may I ask, why do you shade the grey armor with brown and not black?

I think it looks cool just curious really.

Thanks for the feedback.

I was initially considering black for the shields but thought the model overall would then be too dark. I'll try it out on my next go though. :)

I used the brown shade as it seemed to give a more natural shading because I felt Nuln Oil for example would have left to stark of a transition. It's personal preference in the end.

Glad you liked the tutorial. :)

What's this world coming to? That's the third time someone made me like Space Wolves in less than two weeks.

I love their color scheme. Brings back good memories of the Lost Company and the Eye of Terror campaign.

Thanks. Wolves aren't so bad you know. :)

Not much of an update but I was in my local GW painting yesterday and most of today, painted two faces but also helped out the manager by painting the store's Stormwolf Pilot. The kit is really detailed, well the bits I painted were anyway. :P

Those faces are really nice! I need to start learning to paint skin and theyll be very good reference thanks you!

Also, dont know if anyone else thinks this but the one with grey hair looks like the actor that played harvey twoface in the new batman films... If he had a massive tache!

I'm doing a tutorial hopefully this week on painting faces. ;)

He does look a bit like him. Most people have told me the grey haired guy looks like Heihach from the Tekken series, whilst the blond Marine is Hulk Hogan. :P

I hate you for being able to paint eyes. tongue.png

Good painting.

Thanks. Wolves aren't so bad you know. smile.png

I know, I used to love Space Wolves when I started the hobby, what with telling off the Inquisition after the first war of Armageddon and the Thirteenth Great Company. But for some reason I'd like to know but don't, I don't like them anymore.

Is it a fluff thing? Not a fan of the way they the models have progressed?

Canis Themeoverdoseborn. Stop sniffing the butt of the overgrown, disformed squirrel you call a mount and look at this model. LOOK AT IT, YOU DIRTY PUNK. THIS is how you make a thunderwolf-riding space marine look good.

Ha ha, thank you. :)

The Canis model is ugly I agree. :P

I recently got my mits on 10 MK IV Marines decked out with the Night Lords shoulder pads and heads second hand for really cheap and this is my first attempt at the VIII Legion.

Few Things I've learnt:

I desperately need some decent brushes

I need to paint the shoulder trims silver or gold

Possibly mix a darker blue for the base colour
