Looking good brother, I can't wait to see it painted up!

Thanks. Rest assured, I'm working on it, brother. Though the HH Weekender and the ensuing trip to England will keep me busy for some a while.

The IW tac sqd looks Cool.Tell the Tech Priests to get busy on the LR.

Been a while since I haven't been home that much in the past two weeks for various reasons (one of them being a trip to the Horus Heresy Weekender). That said I've managed to paint the another squad. I know I have other units I need to finish but since I felt like painting some Iron Hands and they were part of my ETL oath as well, the Medusan Immortals are now ready to fight:

Not sure if I actually like the hazard stripes on the missile launchers. It seemed like a good place to put them, but  didn't end up looking as good as I thought it might.

Thanks! While I'm very pleased with them, there's one thing I'd do differently next time: Instead of a brush I'd use my airbrush on the blades to make them smoother.

 

The Whirlwind Scorpius is nearing completion. Only a few details and some weathering & battle damage left:

Looking good. Would you mind sharing the paint you used for the green? I'm test painting Salamanders with some spare 40k marines I put together and still having trouble picking a paint scheme for them (mostly whether to use my usual warpstone or go with something a little less bright).

Thanks. For the green I used a basecoat of 50/50 mix of castellan & caliban green followed by a 50/50 mix of castellan green & warpstone glow, leaving some of the previous colour visible. Then I washed it with a mix of Agraxx Earhtshade & Nuln Oil and water. And that's it. This is what they look like now that they're finished:

It has been a long while since I stopped by here and I am glad that I did!

 

The enormity of this project is breathtaking and the effort that you given each Legion has showcased your skill set, I love that you have captured the individual flavor of each Legion!

Thanks for your kind words! The best part of it is having a variety of different legion colour schemes to paint- keeps things from getting repetitive. And if space marines begin nonetheless to feel a bit boring I can fall back on the Mechanicum.

I really like the Iron Hand Praetor with LC and servo arm. A very neat conversion. cool.png

Thanks! It's really rather simple - I just switched the arms for the Iron Father mini, but did come of quite nicely.

And here's the latest work I've done. I didn't first expect to get much done this week, but the german blitzkrieg on tuesday gave me some time to work on the IH command squad:
