Just for fun, what do you think will be best aromour type for the assault squads? Mk IV? or Mk II? Or a mix of Mk II and Mk V (my favorite Mk)?

 

Mk IV. You can embellish veterans or officers with Mk II. (Or do the other way around, depending on taste.)

I've always found mk.IV pattern to be the most elegant of all marks, so my vote goes to maximus armor for your army. It helps that palatine blades are mk.IV and so are the current jetbikes and bikes. In my opinion, mk.II is not smooth enough, mk.III looks too heavy and while I love mk.V, it's just too brutish for the stereotypical Emperor's Children.

@ Laborious: Ahhh... The bases! :lol: misread that totally... It's from Basicks, the "ruined factory" and the "trash" range.

 

@ Crusader Webber: thanks mate! The other two jetbikes are in the process of being done and the the Javelin (way more demanding than it looks). Then jump infantry all the way... :)

My newest biker snapped from the supporting rod...

I tried to put him back with some really brutal methods but I'm really frustrated by all this... I'll post a pic later on... :angry:

What I ended up having to do when mine broke was super glue it in place, drill it and use copper pinning rod in its place.

Well I was possesed by Khorne! I took out a secrewdriver and and made a hone that sot of stablized the situation but the end result is kind of crooked. I'm so disspointed to get a bad break in the beginning of the project - especially when things were going Ok...

my only question is - why are there not any line marines? such as tactical squads? i mean if your going for points for tabletop i guess it makes sense. but a battalion is 5 companies...

@ Knight of the Raven: haha, indeed! I know the jetbikes got a mixed reception when they came out but tome it was love at first sight! :yes:

 

@ The Lord Marshal: well, the idea is to play them in the context of the Angels of Death RoW. No infantry there except jump infantry (which is on the way) unless you buy flyers with transport capacity... I might consider getting the Caestus at some point just to add 10 Phoenix Guard Termies... But first things first! I'll stick to my list for as long as I can without deviating...
