OK, in another thread I was told that the armour was too white, so I've given it a few small washes of Agrax Earthshade and Nuln Oil to dirty it up a bit.

On the left is the original and on the right is the dirtier white. I have to agree, it looks a lot better and more fitting (does help when taking photos to take the flash off and use natural light apparently).

Just got to try out the rust effect mentioned above and I think it should be looking good.

C&C welcome :)

Took better pictures of the Dread with the dirtier armour.

Thanks Uprising. I have been slaving all day to finish my second Apostle and have put washes on the second squad of Plague Marines.

I had mentioned in another thread that I wanted my army to be lead by two Twin brother Apostles but that was as far as I had got with the fluff (terrible at fluff :().

C&C welcome.

Thanks Devourer :) I have some Plaguebearers that I finished a while back but have added 'Ardcoat to the wounds and changed the pustules to match in with the rest of the army. I have also been adding some pustules to my Soul Grinder so hopefully I'll be able to get some photos of that added tonight, if not in the morning.

Thanks Chaeron :D

So... side tracked again and still haven't finished the Soul Grinder, but I did add the dirt to the Land Raider.

I am aware the sponson mount is upside down in the second picture but in my defence I didn't do it :(, I did however miss when I was buying it from eBay.

Finally, a current completed army shot for your viewing pleasure.

Haha, don't worry about it mate - have a look at the condition one of my Land Raiders was in before I started work on it (and most of the Rhinos too!), I think bringing it up to that sort of standard is ideal.

Love the cohesive look overall - shaping up really nicely!

Cheers mate.

I've just had a look at your tanks and they look really cool. how do you do the dirtied armour look? I'm currently just dragging the brush over the armour in streaks of Agrax Earthshade and Nuln Oil. It works but gotta make sure I don't leave a block of white anywhere or it just looks out of place.
