Savage Midnight: Armored Up an Rolling Heavy for ETL-Pg.109

That definitely looks oozes unmitigated violence. The chainglaive weapon is class and the head tops it off! Also, I think would be cool is to use tamiya clear red or blood for the blood god around the vox grille. Just because of vicious reasons.

It's also great that pictures of minis can show off things we missed so clearly. :)

The Living Bloodsaint is just outstanding. Looks  angellic, arrogant and aloof.

the whole group of models is fantastic and seeing them all together like that really accentuates the coolness of the colour. It really suits them.

Evening guys! Here's my prospective color scheme for the Death company of my little Savage Knighthood. Thoughts and C&C welcome.

Fifteen minutes in, I was like "damn... these are going to look like Flesh Tearers." Then I was like "Awesome! These are going to look like Flesh Tearers!" The only thing I'm thinking of changing is the red in the center. If I do that black, it'll essentially be exchanging the normal Knights of Blood scheme gungray for black. Which is awesome.

@ Slipstreams - Thanks! That's exactly what I was hoping for.

@ Longgone - Oh, it's attached to his right greave. That's a hilarious way to phrase your question though, haha.

@ Doghouse - Haha, thanks! That's a pretty big complement coming from Doghouse. Maybe next week, Alan Batey will come down and tell me he thinks my Corvette is pretty. :D

@ Kol - Swords are for girls. That's a chainglaive :P

@ Hushrong - Oh, I've got quite a few ideas for artful blood splatter, don't you worry.

@ DimDim - Haha, excellent!

@ Sock - That's what I was going for. I'm happy to hear that it comes across to readily. Thanks man.

...Is that a chain bolted to your latest model's right leg?

I get the feeling there's a story behind that! biggrin.png

The colours look pretty awesome as they are - the blue blood/water droplets add some really nice contrast. happy.png

Whoops. Totally meant that in a non Slaaneshi way...

Your DC looks awesome. Totally change the torso to black. The gunmetal to black transition from regular to DC Marines is... I dunno, but I like it.

Black with a Red Sheen? Can you pull it off :O

I like it the way it is. It doesn't look too distinctly FT and the Giant Red X's all over him make it pretty clear who he is.

But he doesn't have a long enough handle!

....................... That sounds like something STD or Forte would say for some reason.................

Still, that Flesh TearerDeath Company looks awesome. I definitely like the coloring on the helmet.

Alrighty, last "practice" marine before the color scheme becomes official. Red torso, black everything else the general consensus? I'm thinking along those lines too.

Hmm... looks like the first one came out a teeny bit blurry. Sorry about that! Hopefully it still gives a good idea.

@ Helter - Thanks! It would be neat to be an inspiration, but it's a stupid simple conversion. Just snipped the thunder hammer off the DC weapon and pinned in a raptor chainsword.

I do! Five of them all told.

@ Recon - Haha, I must be on the right path then.

@ Angrypantz - Thanks! That seems to be the general feeling.

@ Ace Debonair - T'is indeed. Same deal with this one. I'll be sure to fluff it out when the DC is all done.

@ Augustus - Will do!

@ Salvation - Haha, not biased at all.

@ Longgone - Heh, no worries. I did just come from painting a bunch of pink Shornaali marines though biggrin.png

@ Slipstreams - Good to hear!

@ Kol - It's like as long as his body! That red started out as an attempt to paint an X over his eyes, but I like how it ended up.

@ BrotherJim - Haha, always glad to see new folks popping in. I appreciate the kind words!

@ Atia - Thanks girl! They have attempted to, yes. Looks like it wasn't too successful though biggrin.png

Not running them as Jump Pack Death Company or did you magnetize them?

The FW 'zerker helms do make them look a bit Chaosy or rather, less-than-loyal, I think. Perfectly in line with the Knights of Blood fluff you're going after, I feel.

Can't help but feel there is something wrong with this guy's posing. I get the general feel that he is supposed to be running forward, but the helmet makes it seem more like he is falling backwards. I don't know if it is just he angling of the pictures, the shape of the helmet's eyelenses or the angle of the helmet that is making me think this.

It's the pose combined with the base. If he literally did a 180 it wouldn't be so bad because it would like he was going up the terrain. But instead he looks like he's going up, while going down.

Evening guys.

After Iskandar, I got a ton of entertaining and interesting suggestions for more one off characters I could do. Couple that with a much needed mini break from painting black, and I give you my next fun character who really hasn't (some way some how) had a mini done for them yet. At least not that I could find.

Not quite as pretty as Sekandur Cain, but I really like how his sword came out. C&C very much welcome.

Any guesses? :D

@ Wicced - Thanks! I've got another of them sitting around somewhere.

@ Recon - Appreciate it.

@ Slipstreams - Nah, they're never going to see the tabletop, so I went with the normal backpacks. I'm not a huge fan of the MK7(ish?) assault marine pack.

Glad to hear the helms are working acceptably so far.

@ Heru - I can kinda see it. I totes turned him around to run up the little hill. Looks a little less physics defying now :D

@ Kol - Haha, seems like we were thinking the same thing.
