Well I'm back after a forced hiatus due to (another) arm injury. I was a bit worried about further loss of movement and feeling but all seems to be well after about a month of recovery :)

I thought I'd test out my painting hand and ease myself in with a single model, so here is the first HQ character I've completed for the Raptors – Lieutenant Korik. I wanted to keep him consistent with the troops but I did spend a little bit longer over the highlights and details.

Which Sanguinary Guard do you mean? I did two squads and used different methods on each.

- Forge World Castellax Bronze base

- Nuln Oil wash

- Drybrush Rub n’ Buff Gold Leaf

- Gryphonne Sepia wash

- Agrax Earthshade wash just in deep recesses

- Silver edge highlights

You guys are probably bored of seeing these but I’ve finished another five Intercessors! I actually enjoy painting them quite a lot but this brings my total up to 20 marines so it will soon be time for something different – and arguably more interesting

Love what you are doing with these guys. I'm a big fan of green marines and you'll pulled this off superbly with a great job on the lights on the rhino. I had to scroll back to check those were not LEDs :D

When I say things like that in my project logs, it's usually because I'm bored with painting them and haven't been posting something else to break up the perceived monotony. I assure you that they're still a treat for me to look at. (It helps that I'm not looking at them every day for all that time you've spent working on them.)

The predator looks great! I love the wear and tear throughout and the weathering on and around the tracks! The yellow markings and those decals add quite a bit of character to the tank too.

When I say things like that in my project logs, it's usually because I'm bored with painting them and haven't been posting something else to break up the perceived monotony. The funny thing is I'm not bored of painting them – I love the Intercessor kit! But I was conscious of posting 4x pretty much the same thing and how dull that may seem to an onlooker

 

Still, it is good to break it up a bit sometimes – for everyone's sake! I'm working on my Captain now as an ETL vow and it's fun to put everything into a single model for a change.
