Brother Callidan
Love your shrike. How did you do the white? Ushabti bone and screaming skull? LutherMax
Thanks for the comments! Love your shrike. How did you do the white? Ushabti bone and screaming skull? I used the Andrea Color White Paint Set (base, then highlights 1, 2 and 3 on the helmet and edges only). It is a similar tone to Ushabti and Screaming Skull. I also did a very thin wash of sepia and a deep recessed wash of thinned Agrax (before the highlights). LutherMax
These were a lot of fun to paint. As a result the process went very quickly, up until the detailing which I spent a lot longer than expected and intended because I was having so much fun! So my hat’s off to the miniature designers for that! I do think they’re better without those little shields on the assault bolters tho Bjorn Firewalker, Brother Lunkhead, Chaplain Raeven and 8 others 11 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/282574-luthers-wosp-works-of-slow-progress/page/27/#findComment-5127783 Share on other sites

Quixus
Oh man, the Inceptors look so much better without the silly shields on the bolters. Awesome paintjob as always. golfdeltafoxtrot
Awesome paint job! And you’re right, they look much better without the little shields. Consider that idea stolen! Bjorn Firewalker
Oh man, the Inceptors look so much better without the silly shields on the bolters. Paint them black and/or white, and the poses will make the Inceptors look like Chow Yun-fat in John Woo's classic films.
