Thanks for the comments guys, highlighting will add another dimension I think but I'm happy so far.

@ Quixus, "ugly Deimos"?! I love the Deimos pattern chassis! The DC are indeed mostly from the FW MKIV and MKV kits with a couple of plastic additions.

@ Firepower, the DC have some grey area highlights, but were not photographed in a light box! As above, I think highlights will bring them out. Watch this space!

Thanks for the comments!

For the headlights, over the red armour a laid down a base area of white. I then sprayed Vallejo Model Air Scarlet Red over this, slightly overlapping it. Then another smaller white area inside followed by VMA Yellow, and finally a small area of white around and just below the lens itself. I'll take some step by step pics next time :)

Here's the Land Raider updated with blue headlights. Blue paints are more opaque than yellow / orange / red so no need for a base layer. This was just large area VMA Dark Sea Blue, smaller area Light Sea Blue and smallest area White.

Thanks for the comments guys, I am flattered!

The black was pretty simple really... I primed them black (obviously) then gave them a spray from above with my airbrush using Vallejo Model Air German Grey, then US Grey (just shoulders and helmets). Then (and this is how the matte finish is achieved) a liberal wash of Nuln Oil. Then it was just some edge highlights of Vallejo Model Color Basalt Grey followed by London Grey. Oh and finally some Medium Sea Grey on the helmet edges.

@ The_Chaplain, I kitbashed the MKIV Assault Squad, MKV Assault Squad and MKV Despoiler Squad to make these. Plus Phobos Chainaxes.
