I seem to have lost a few posts... heres an ETL update second pic pre messed up- http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Snapbucket/FB9F8074_zps980f6af0.jpg heres the updated one http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Snapbucket/3D7BA202_zpsc2db1598.jpg I painted some last night and added grey to the weapons, brought the metals up to boltgun and used PP's armour wash on the metals... the storm troopers received a coat of red to the fancy detailing on their shoulders...will be adding white to the armor and then highlighting the clothing and will probably call these guys done and move on to the next round of dudes... have downloaded a copy of the codex and will work on getting my ETL points together.. I have also recognized how much I dont like mobi and pub files on my laptop...just irks me trying to read them and I really wish GW would pdf their books... I am endeavoring to get my ETL completed... if I do I will have a fully painted and based army (to my liking ; ) for the first time EVAR!! Upon seeing the pic I am excited to get everybody finished so I can snow and ice the bases all at once. Finished my sons MekaDred this am and after gluing the arms on realized just how big the model is and how hard it will be to transport it GLad he has a Stompa as well (will be avoiding the new Ork walker as it looks like a toaster and I have a Mr Potatohead I've been wanting to use for a walker for awhile... I am finished with my xenos rant and will get back to the imperial fold tomorrow eve. I'll keep my head down tomorrow and watch it after I get home from work :lol: Â Getting an entire army done is what makes it all worth it! You can stare at completed squads all day but nothing compares to seeing them all on the table fighting for victory. I honestly haven't read our new 'dex yet to get all the Pts together . On my list behind the honeydoo's. Thx warriorfish... I am plugging away on my first vow so I can add another before it's over. lionofjudah Posted June 26, 2014 Author Share Posted June 26, 2014 Thanks warriorfish... I've added some more to his trim and painted the base colors on the other guys I was working on. Washed them in nuln oil and am starting to detail them. Can't seem to get a decent pic right now and am recognizing my painting time of midnights to 2 am the last 2 nights is wearing me out a lil. I am closing in on finishing the infantry for my ETL vow and am stoked to get to the fun stuff... Vehicles!!!!!!!!!! So I have 2 mostly assembled vendettas and a thunderer that needs more detailing. I will be getting a new needle and spray nozzle for my airbrush and am excited to try out some different techniques for counter shading on the panels. I'll be using the hairspray technique for winter white washing and have a full pot of typhus corrosion as well as 6/7 oil paints for weathering the armour when it's ready.
