Hi
everyone!
"New" on the forum, been a member for some
time, but never posted a thread (maybe not even a comment?).
But here we go!
So just to get it out there, I suck at updating but I
will do my best, since I believe this is the most amount of minis I ever
painted in one color scheme (yeah I'm bad at that too xD)
 
 
But not to drag on, pictures!
 
The first marine, finished except the shoulder guard.

What's your scheme?

 

 

Excuse my English, but what do you mean by scheme?

 

 

I can make a tutorial, if you guys want, but basicly:

 

White undercoat

 

MIG Rust pigment + thinner to make wash

 

MIG dark wash, more present on my latest model which I have no picture of yet, will post him today.

Update!

 

Quick question, what are the forum rules on Double posting, (like I am doing now) is it 1 day, 1 week etc?

 

 

Anyway, my latest marine. I am really happy with this one, I moved away from pure rust and made it a little bit more dirty too, I think the resulst were alot better.

What do you guys think?

Aaaand Update! Look they are like finnished, except the bolters and the bases, but they will come soon, bolters within a few days, and hopefully the bases within a week, max 2, depending on my supplychain.

 

The one on the left is the same as earlier just wanted a group shot.

Pictures were okay, but they do not justify the minis.

I like them pretty much, but I hate that with Phobus? Pattern bolters the arms sometimes wont fit in a good way, frustrates me to hell.

 

I can understand that, but for me mkIII is probably the easiest one to paint, as I am using lots of washes.,

Update yey :D

 

5 Death Guards 99% Done and 1 Marine Missing gun and backpack, with bases! 

 

I am not sure if I am happy with the snow or not ... what do you guys think?

 

I will take some close ups when I have some spare time, school is killing me again ...

Update!!! I never thought this day would come, a day when I actually finnished a squad :ohmy.: , I'm so happy right now xD

 

The only thing left is more water effect on one of the marines.

 

I will bring more closups on the bases and the modells within the week.

 

 

And I am so sick of backpacks... I thought I had done them all, and then, boop one more ... But I mustered all my power and finnished that backpack!

 

 

No more talk, minis!!

I am so "proud" over them, now I just need to make 10 more so I can kill something :)

 

These guys are fantastic! How did you do the rust on the bolters? Definitely the most realistic rust I've seen on a mini. Makes my recipe look ridiculously cartoonish haha.

 

I most of them are just Humbrol Thinner + MIG Light Rust Pigments.

But on the later I used MIG Light Rust Effects and Light Rust pigments, because the Light Rust Effects where to bright and yellow.


And since I need more time to fix better photos, here is an update of my commander (takes forever, since I'm not used to do so much detail)

 

Quite happy with the purity seals (does that work for Death Guard? xD)
