@ Widowmaker

Thanks for your kind words.

And I felt that the chipping on the vehicles was to much, but I'm glad someone likes it.

On the on everything pre Deathshroud I used a chipping fluid, but the problem with it is that the chipping fluid and my basecoat color does not match (instead of small chips I get chunks) but on the Deathshroud and on Mortarion I used the classic sponge method, it goes a little bit faster and usually has a better result (chipping fluid if done right is waaaay better, but if you mess it up it's worse IMHO)

I'm going to make a tutorial of how I make my models hopefully in the Weekend (but I suck at deadlines so we'll see), if you're interested.

@ Dark Rage

Thanks!

Still not 100% with the copper oxidization, but I'm working on it.

@ daemonclaw

Thank you :)

I have some sad news to bring, it looks like the right arm for Mortarion is gone, and since I do not have the GS skills I'm going to put him on hold untill I find the arm or I buy a new model.

I'll see what I bring next Deathshroud, Tyhpon or my Reaver.

Okay, time for update, not something new, but I've not got around to taking photos of my Death Guard / Iron Hand Diorama

Still no update on the missing arm, I am going to check if FW would be so kind to send / sell me a new one. If not I guess I have to turn to chinese recasts *shurgs*. :/

Next I'm going to start working on my Typhon, since school just started I don't really have the time atm to start with the Reaver.

EDIT: As a small note if you look on the window in the background you can see a reflection of the evil master who paints these guys.

I'd also like to thank henriklundback for donating the Chainsword arms.

@ henriklundback

Well you did donate it to me, so I think you deserve a tag. :P

I know that the base is a little plain, I had the a plan to have it semi covered in snow, and the have some bloodsplatters in the snow from the weapons, but work came in the way.

And about the blue highlight I like the color but the lines are to thick.

@ disease

Thanks, the base is actually very simple, first I used a round resin display base, the I covered it in toilet paper and PVA+water mix and just shaped it, after a day or so, I painted it with MIG wet European Mud, and done.

So progress on the Reaver is going slow, but for my standard actually rather fast. More or less done with the legs, just waiting for a good pose.

Here is a some pictures of possible pose #1

What do people think?

The body will probably be "looking" to the side and the tank will be replace with a bunker/building (ideas) or a heresy era tank, but I do not know what legion if I go with vehicle since I want to play Loyal 40k and somewhere on the edge in 30k.

I am also thinking about having just a walking pose, like he's just about to life one leg?

Or a more dynamic firing pose (but does it work with a Reaver) like this one?

Man this was a messy post. Edited by Packe

Thats a really good looking pose for the reaver. I think dynamic works, after all they are supposed to be a faster class of titan.

You could still use the MkIIc (ie usual) Rhino, it was used during the Heresy, just not as much as the Diemos pattern (i think there's a picture of one in the Extermination book).

As for what legion:

Shattered Legions - dubious allegiances

Traitor Legions - Alphas/IW/Luna Wolves could either be an old vehicle or loyalist

Doesn't necessarily need to be a Legion vehicle - could be Imperial Army, Sisters of Silence, Custodes, Arbites, Mechanicum.....

Okey, then I think I'll go with that pose, but I am probably going to put the legs a little closer to each other.

If I'm going with a legion it will probably be Sons of Horus, or I'm going to take the Imperial Bunker and "smash" it. But I'm not sure

it looks like I am able to get a hold of a Malcador from a friend for a cheap price, so I'll build it on that.

The good thing with the Malcador is that I can actually make some "bullet holes" from the Reaver. I mean even the gatling blaster would blow up a rhino.

noe the question is, what color? I have no idea of what the Guards looked like during the heresy.

Edited by Packe

You could paint it up in the Legion colours of your choice, since all the Legions had access to the "standard" battlecannon and "Annihilator" *variants. As for painting it Imperial Army colours, the upcoming HH Conquest book should contain a few profiles for the Solar Auxilia like the one I've linked below, but in truth you could just make up a colour scheme since there were thousands of Imperial Army regiments around, each with various uniforms and panoply.

*I'm not sure if the "Defender" variant was around in M31.

Cool, thanks alot!

I'll either go with SoH since I like them dead (but they do not work as great in 40k) or my own Guard color, "Krieg" green ei OD/OG.

I am leaning heaviest towards Guard.

Anyone here who knows how to make wrecks from resin tanks?

Small update.

I've made some progress on the inside of the Reaver, don't know if I'll be able to paint more today, but a small upate anyhow.

Excuse the picture quallity.

Update on the interior

Not very happy with the servitors, the color looks awfull IOM, but I really don't want to paint them again so, it'll have to do.

Is the dirt / rust over the top or is it good?

http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee101/packe93/Death%20Guard/IMG_7503_zps723c5f6b.jpg

C&C needed. :)

Thanks! The weathering is what I am good at.

And I am aware that the servitors were kinda bad, they are the only thing I'm not satisfied with. I wanted deadish skin, but it just turn out horrible.

On the roof servitor I'm just going to paint it greyscale.

Hi Guys!

Sorry for the absence, but school.

But time for some updates.

First out my "Primus Medicae" or atleast a stand in for one.

All the base stuff except the lenses are done, so now it's time for washes! :biggrin.:

I've also basecoated and chipped the inside of the Reaver, but forgot to take pictures.

But my Malcador arrived so now I just have to figure out how to make all the damage.

Here's the chassi glued.
