Georges Washington had heraldry close to that if I remember correctly. Sweet symbol for a knight btw !

Drawing heraldry for knights from real history is a good idea, I'll steal you that (and I have plenty of ideas now from our history smile.png )

The Praetor Has been built, and the Knight is under construction.

EDIT: LE FLUFF!!!!!!!

Praetor Egil Haugen, is a Legionnaire, recruited on Terra during the Unification. He was hailed from the Scandinavian range, in Nord Europa, a desolate, frost-bitten land, home to hardy people, who must survive the tough winters in the mountains. During the final parts of  the War of Unification, Egil was hunting, when he happened upon a battle between Imperials, and troops of Ursh. Some of the Ursh troops spotted him, and, imagining him to be an Imperial supporter (though he honestly did not care one way or the other at that age) gave chase. He was able to ready his Laslock before they got near him. Egil killed three and wounded 5 others, causing the final two to retreat. Imperial troops had been attempting to flank the enemy when they happened upon the boy. With the troops, were members of the XIII Regiment, later to be renamed "The Ultramarines". He was recruited. His implantations permitted him to serve as a neophyte during the Fall of Ursh, and during some engagments with the Ethnarchy. He finished this process in time to join the legion in The First Pacification of Luna, where he was part of the instrumental first orbital drop into the Sea of Tranquility, marking the second great milestone in the geographic area's history. Operations on Saturn and Jupiter ensured that eventually, Egil would gain a command of his own. For the last battle in the Sol System, Egil was given command of a Astartes platoon. The Platoon made planetfall on a dropship, and advanced via Rhino APC. They were supported by Fireraptor gunships, and Predator AFVs. The target of the strike was a city ruled by a long-forgotten Xenos civilization. Orbital strikes had opened holes in the city walls, allowing the Task Force, designated Alpha, to gain entrance. The aliens responsible for the enslavement of the humans were revealed soon after. The beasts were short, and slender creatures, with gray, over sized heads. Their eyes were black almonds that emanated evil. The energy weapons they possessed were capable of inflicting heavy damage on the Astartes, yet had little to no effect on the vehicles of the group. Street by street, the enemy were slain, and finally, the attack ground to a halt at the city centre. The Xenos commander was on the bulwarks, giving orders, when the head-chopping maneuver was underway. Egil, now a lieutenant in the 138th, lead his platoon into the alien structure at the centre of the city. The Astartes fought hard throughout this fortress, with Egil at least accounting for 30 to 40 xenos KIA. His greatest kill during the operation, however, is that of the Xenos leader. Egil faced the creature in hand to hand combat, and triumphed, after he'd slain the alien with the butt of his Samuel-pattern Bolter.

After the action, Egil was promoted to Captain, replacing the head of X Battalion, who had been killed in a subsequent operation on Neptune. He served with distinction on Ullanor, standing alongside the proud Emperor's Children and Luna Wolves. He fought alongside the Imperial Army and Iron Warriors on Krieg. He even served alongside the Word Bearers, however, he never trusted them, due to their worship of the Emperor. Time, and the crusade, dragged on, adding many honors and battles to Egil's record. Eventually, after 175 long years, Egil was promoted to Praetor of the 138th Company, "The Hounds of Ultramar". Egil was proud of this name, as it reflected his preferred set of tactics. After rediscovery of Guilliman, Egil had become a more proficient tactician, listening to lectures from the Primarch greatly affected him. He regretted having to part with the legion, being one of the companies left behind to guard the worlds of Ultramar, while the rest went to go to war aongside the Word Bearers. The planet they were stationed on, Hyperborea, was reminiscent of M2 Germania on Terra, albeit, with the cities having large shield walls around them. This was due to creatures that had inhabited the planet in the past, preying upon the humans. They were known as ++DELETED++ and were slain when the Emperor's Light embraced the planet. Darkness fell upon the planet when the Great Betrayal was revealed. The Word Bearers, along with many cults, assaulted Hyperbore. Praetor Haugen commanded the Ultramarines, as well as the Imperial Army units, from the capitol of Varaingia. The war shaped up to be long and hard.

The Merican 102nd Infantry regiment is a go. It's an homage to my Uncle's unit from when he deployed to Afghanistan.

I've been coming up with ideas for the IA contingent. I even created a flag for the Company Command.
