Ace Debonair
I fully support this idea, though I do have a question as to why you decided to switch from Adra's original Scythe to a Spear for his weapon? I'm not complaining or anything, it's always nice to see more weapon variety than just swords and aces, I'm just curious as to what prompted the change. Deadliest weapon known to the Imperium! Adra'Melek
Adra - your Vulkan conversion is looking awesome and your paint scheme remains fantastic! Keep it up! Cheers Kor'Vesh. I must admit I sat with my blade hovering over it for a while before a made a first cut! Regarding paint scheme, I'm thinking the dark red colour. One of the first things I looked at when I was thinking of this was this fella http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/105449-painting-magmatrax-tutorial/ I'm tempted to try and replicate the Jugger plates. I've tried before but was a bit cack-handed. The gold is way too bright for me mind. Ace Debonair
It'll be tough to replicate that effect, for definite, but dark red for the armour sounds like a pretty awesome idea to me. Adra'Melek
Cheers. I'm pretty happy with how he's turned out. I certainly don't think I have the skills to do him better as things stand. Bandages are a variation on Brother Kage's cloak tutorial. Folded a tissue many times, cut it into very thin stripes. Dipped them in diluted PVA and layered them up. Then painted. A bit of Blood for the Blood God in patches. He certainly looks like someone who got their face melted :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/285810-the-infernal-guard-bikernauts/page/11/#findComment-3957975 Share on other sites

Adra'Melek
I'm pretty pleased with how the left shoulder pad turned out. I have to scrape of the salamander symbol and there were a few flames round the outside. I had planned on using one of the Death Guard brass symbols but couldn't find my sheet so I freehanded the flames instead. If I find the brass I might add it over the top of the flame. Also, I plan on sorting through everything I have with these guys and start trying to get stuff completed. It's all got a bit messy. Adra'Melek
When he landed on Nocturne, rather than being found and brought up by a kindly blacksmith, he fell in wilderness. His early year were spent in a volcanic wasteland until his entire body was burnt to a crisp. His advanced healing meant he recovered but his skin was hardened to a protective layer but it had become brittle. Even small movements cause it to break open, leaking blood, until the healing takes over. Adra'Melek
I'm keeping Melek on his smaller base so the extras are going to be made into objective markers. There are two with fallen marines in them. The question is...which Legion(s)? I'm not against the idea of making a smallish force from another Legion and could use this as a tester. Or it could be a one off. Do we go with fallen brothers of the XIV? Fallen enemies to be captured and interrogated? Or cousin's loyal to the Warmaster? I'd like it to be a different colour to red or black. What colour were the Lupercal's pups again? I know Ace was going to mix them up a bit. Although there is already a member of the First being trod on by the Contemptor. Anyway, thoughts? Suggestions? Conn Eremon
If the whole army is themed on the assault of the Palatinate, then I would say the First or the Astral Wolves. If you do Astral Wolves, this could be the moment in which he achieves apotheosis, much like Angron in Betrayer. Or the First, to keep it in line with the dreadnought. If you want to mix it up a bit . . . there is the Imperial Hounds or Orders of the Sword?
