The Nemesis Crusade +++ Oath Complete +++

Excellent work. I'm always impressed with the way so many people here have the skill to greenstuff robes onto their Templars that are done so well that the models look like they were designed with them. I never really considered painting the tabards red but you and others here who do it make it look great and it has me reconsidering it. Is the captain a HH praetor?

I am happy to report Vow 3 is now complete. Mind you the devil is in the details and if I was to follow the devil I don't think any of these guys would be done prior to August 1st. So for now I am happy with them and can call them finished.

Vow 4 should be up shortly, still some last minute things to assemble.

@General Disarray - Yes he is one of the HH Praetors. The one in TDA is the Marshal of my crusade, absolutely awesome models.

Thank you for the comments brothers.

In my haste at lunch to post the completion pics, I completely forgot to take singles of the indiviual crusade badges, as there is ample space on a terminator for them. So once im done work I will post them later today.

Thank you for the comments, they will truly encourage me on this next vow.

Speaking of which Vow 4 is now up

1x Sicaran

4x Rhino

1x Vindicator

1x Land Raider Crusader and

1x Spartan

The Machine spirit has been appeased, the 3 Rhinos, Vindicator and LRC have all been reclaimed from the dark angels, and are truly enjoying the black paint over green.

However I don't have the doors on the Spartan yet, I was going to ask here first whether or not you all think the plastic GW Templar doors should go on or try out some free hand, I am not going to wait for a FW order to come in to order doors from them. On the plus side my crusader conversion kit finally arrived at my LGS and that can get finished tomorrow.

Wow. These paint jobs are why I am so scared to paint my vow!

Brother Golf that vow of yours already looks awesome and will look even more checked out with colour, For your information your sculpting intimidates the censored.gif out of me, but now I have something to attempt to achive.

Update time,
Pretty much have the first 4 Rhino's finished, just one last wash of the whitish area's, a little clean up on the tops and the oaths to be hand written inside the cross. These guys should be done tomorrow, then I think the Vindicator and LRC will be on the table next.

Update time:
Here are the written out vows I kept meaning to post but never did. Sadly it isn't the neatest writing ever, but I am going to use the excuse that it is rather difficult to write neatly when it is that small.

1st up "Uphold the honour of the Emperor"
http://i.imgur.com/8j8QvPX.jpg?1

"Accept any Challenge no matter the odds"
http://i.imgur.com/Loi5FZe.jpg?1

And "Abhor the witch, Destroy the witch"
http://i.imgur.com/3TxfOgJ.jpg?1

Now for the very WIP Vindicator and LRC

Whites are all done and the initial layer of battle damage has been finished, just need to highlight those areas and then the most tedious part will be finished.

I figure this was a fun image, all the completions thus far for the ETL, minus the LRC in the back. Looking forward to getting this vow finished to add more to that lovely formation.

C&C always welcome and appreciated.

Update time:
Mind you, after that awesome showing of Scribe Krikey's, I don't even want to post this, but then that would go against everything we Templar stand for.

So two more down, Land Raider Crusader and Vindicator are finished, if you look closer at the front ramp for the LRC there is a Templar cross penciled in, I'm not to sure if I want to fill it in or not, any suggestions from the forum?

Got the ETL crusade badge on the Vindicator blade.

Sicaran and Spartan left and then Vow 4 will be finished.

Great paint chipping effect on the dozer blade - is that done with a sponge, or salt?

The crusade and ETL badges look awesome too.

I would paint in the cross on the LRC ramp - it could use a little something to balance it as well, maybe a freehand scroll or something else light-coloured on the top door.

Great looking tanks Brother, oh and I feel your pain, Krikeys stuff is amazing, but then, yours are so far above average it makes my stuff look like a baby painted it. laugh.png

I look forward to seeing the Sicaran and the Spartan painted to the same excellent standard. Crusade on Brother.

Very quick update:

I have begun painting the Spartan and am starting to get stumped on the rear area. I have put in a red cross on either side just to add some more colour other than having a primarily black vehicle, but I'm on the fence at the moment as to weather or not I like it. So if my brothers in arms would lend me there assistance and suggestions that would be great. I have been thinking of filling the rear area completely and then transitioning from the red to a white half cross.

First off, your weathering is incredible looking. I am just astounded. I'm going to run out of words in a minute.

I think there's a couple of things to keep in mind at this stage:

1. You are not viewing the entirety of the chassis yet, as far as color goes. Keep in mind the las mount will add some silver to the front to spread some more color around. The tracks are going to help you in that regard as well.

2. I like the red cross in the back. I think after you finish the line highlights on the chipping you'll be a lot happier with the overall effect. It actually is quite stunning looking.

3. The bling will bring out some more color that will break out from the black.

So the long and the short of it is, yes, you are seeing a lot of black right now, but you're not done and the final stages will bring more out away from the black. So I'd say, stay the course and keep going.

Cheers,

@Honda I completly hear what your saying, and know that it is rather early to be overly critical with myself, I think the major issue I have is that the rear of the cross just looks esque,  but I will head the Advice of the Brother chaplin and wait for more colour, and see how it looks from there. Thank you for the suggestions.
