Done! I only realized during assembly of the painted parts, that I'd used the exact same body for both the specialists! D'oh!!! However, seeing as I have three squads with Blight Launchers planned, I won't have trouble disguising this fact... :smile.:

I hope you like them and would very much appreciate your C&C!

Cheers!

@ KrautScientist: Whaaat? Nuh-uh! Only what, like a couple months from finish to face? Also: hair on the Elder's face? Where????

@ The Traitor: Cheers, I appreciate it!

@ Skidman: Wow! Thanks for taking the troube of going through it, and welcome to the thread! Come back anytime :smile.:

@ Lord Commander Eidolon: Yeah I am really a fan of the DI Blightbringer - his body is fantastic! Also, I'd e honoured if you name him after me!

@ Pandoras Bitz Box: First off, I like your name! Welcome to my thread, and thanks for skidding through it! I'm glad you liked what you saw :smile.:

@ hushrong: Wasn't it? Also, something wicked your way comes.

@ sockwithaticket: Yes! Conversions and alterations is what it's all about - but I don't have to tell you that.

@ Pearson73: Thank you! The liquids where a first-timer for me. I think they came out pretty ok :smile.:

Man, these guys looks so wicked. I do get jealous of nurgle players. So many of the models looks so cool already and there is so much scope for adding personal touches to them. Really enjoying the thread, thanks for putting the effort in and sharing!

The squad looks great! I wouldn’t worry about the same torso and legs used for the blight launcher marines. I wouldn’t have noticed unless I read that. I think you got a good mix of bits and their poses vary.

Looking forward to what stalks this way :)

Thanks, guys!

I'm starting on Typhus now...

Except for the few buboes, I'm not doing any conversion work on him, as I really like the miniature as is. I considered doing the Deathshroud Bodyguard simultaneously, but I want to give Typhus and them my full attention.

Cheers!

@ Pandora's Bit Box: We have it easy when it comes to col miniatures. But mind you all the extra detail comes at ta price: they're far more difficult to convert.

@ The Traitor: That's a good points, I'll see what I can do.

@ Kizzdougs: Cheers! Yes, the DG transfers from FW are amazing :tu:

@ Shovellovin: I like your name, and welcome to the thread! Thanks for commenting :)

@ hushrong: Thanks, that's a relief!

@ Dreagher: Muhahaha that's how I roll, baby! ALso, welcome to my thread! Thanks for commenting :)

@ rednekkboss: Hurray! I got blessed by Grandpa Nurgle himself!

Fantastic work on the new squad of Plague Marines! Specialist Vul has got to be one of my absolute favourites so far -- the pose is just perfect!

As for Typhus, could you maybe leave that terrible smoke/fly effect off or at least keep it optional? I have yet to see a version of the model where that part doesn't ruin the entire piece, and I doubt even you will be able to sell me on it...

Also,

@ KrautScientist: Whaaat? Nuh-uh! Only what, like a couple months from finish to face? Also: hair on the Elder's face? Where????

Huh, sure did feel like a year at least ;) As for the hair, I think the part marked out in red beneath might be a hair baked into the paint:

As always, keep up the fantastic work, buddy! :)

Oh wow, you’re just rockin’ these guys! I Love the new plague marines... the cleaver, the flies, all the little extra details you put in really take these models to the next level beyond the next level!

And that Younger model... his apron almost looks like an abstract painting. Beautiful!!!

I cant wait to see how this guy comes out, that model is great and I really enjoy seeing your paint work. how did you do the buboes? are they just pva and some sort of beads? I'm guessing everyone is going to look at me now and think "who is this noob?!", but Im a Tzeentch player and I have only ever converted one nurgle model very recently. So I dont know all the tricks of the trade

The additions of buboes will always be a nice touch. I like the mini (I don't remember if I did not before) and want to get one for a conversion soon and I am wondering if you think there is a good cape that will work well with Typhus' armor. I want to change the arm poses, weapons, and the head for my own fella but I am just drawing a blank on a cape or cloak. Just want to pick your brain on that.

Cheers, guys. Ugh, tough week, work-wise. With hard work and a ton of missed sleep, things are smoothing out again, but man oh man. No progress at all on Typhus except a basecoat. I've also buld the Deathshroud Terminators, which I will show later.

I'm off for a nine-day holiday to la douce France tomorrow, and I'm contemplating whether or not I should bring some painting gear to take a swign at Typhus. Knowing me, I probably won't do so even if I take the stuff, so prolly not.

Cheers!

@ Quixus: No idea who you're talking about! :)

@ KrautScientist: oooh that thing. I always thought it was a bit of a slipped piece of skin. I'll keep the Typhus smoke part seperate and post both options.

@ guardian73: Nope, sadly it'll take me almost three weeks!

@ Greenz: Wow, what level is that? It's like paint-ception! ;)

@ Pandoras Bitz Box: The buboes are glass micro beads, glued on with some PVA/Wood Glue.

@ hushrong: How about the Chaos Terminator Lord's cape?

As much as I'd love to see paint on Typhus I'd say leave him home. Trips are for adventure.

I do have one of those capes lying about. I also found the wolf guard termie one. I think it's going to be a lot of cutting, and lord help me, sculpting. But I will be picking up a Typhus today or tomorrow to work on this weekend if I get time.

I'd love to see it, hushrong.

Typhus will stay at home, as will his bodyguard.

I did start on them all, though...

Also, I finally finished the build of the Malignant Plaguecaster:

Let me know what you think of him :)

Excited to see Typhus and the Deathshroud painted up after you get back! You should also email pictures of your conversion and tell GW ‘that’s how it’s done!” The outstretched hand, the tentacles slither out from his helm, and his staff are top notch! He is going to look awesome painted up!

Yeaaaahhh, this guys is awesome. I love his jagged spear/trident, that's a very cool idea. I'll consider sword-to-spear conversions after this.  And simply echoing Hushrong, the tentacles pushing out of his helmet are very cool and the beckoning hand is a lovely touch... almost "welcome to the fold". I really like the simple addition of the hood too, it makes a really nice seamless extension to the cloth that dangles down his chest and flowing from his back.  Seeing ideas this well executed makes me super frustrated I cant just hobby all day all the time.

..Stupid job... person I chose to spend the rest of my life with... and... tiny... versions of myself that require constant care... -mutter-... -grumble-

Typhus will stay at home, as will his bodyguard.

Good call! There are far more interesting things to do in France than painting miniatures.

...

Unless, of course, you're French. In that case, I guess being In France is just business as usual for you -- maybe that's why all those spectacularly talented painters are French...?! ;)

The Plaguecaster is looking good, although I wonder whether you should rotate his casting hand by 180 degrees -- the way it is now, it looks less like he's casting some kind of psykana power and more like he wants you to give him your hand.

Have a great vacation, buddy! :)
