BIG UPDATE

I finished the last five unpainted non-hangers-on members of my gang today! Let me introduce you:

Villa Alegri, Champion of the Pantera Pixies
Villa joined the Pantera Pixies after the scandalous shooting of the gang's oldest Champion Anuk Ra by House Orlock's Bo Duke. She quickly proved her worth, singlehandedly subdueing and ransoming an Abberant from a Genestealer cult, from which she kept its Power Pick as a memento. (No advancements yet!)

Hela Xon, ganger
One of the longest serving members of the Pantera Pixies, Hela Xon has developed herself into multiple areas, offering a versatile arrangement of skills and tactics to the Pantera Pixies. She has shielded the melee specialists in the gang from enemy fire with expertly thrown smoke screens, and picked off Goliath brutes with her trusty lasgun long enough for them to be shot to pieces by the heavier armed members of the gang. (+1 Intelligence, +1 Ballistic Skill)

Aganta Phyrr, ganger

A long range threat to all but the most sneaky opponents, Agata specializes in pinning enemies at long range. She does this while casually smoking her signature cigar, all the while popping off frag grenades amongst the enemy advance. She's earned a reputation as being one of the hardest members to hurt in the entire gang. (+1 Toughness)

Mr. Snuggles, Phyrr Cat

Gang Leader "Mad" Deana Kholeric's trusted Phyrr Cat Mr. Snuggles provides trusted combat support during engagements, while boosting the gang's earnings by serving in the Pantera Pixies "Cuddle Parlor" - where underhivers can enjoy some alone time with the Phyrr Cats - clients that survived report that their reflexes and survival instincts have heightened after a visit to the Cuddle Parlor!

Ms. Purr
The newest addition to the gang and the Parlor, Ms. Purr is still cranky from being relocated. Therefore, there's not much to be said about her true character. but if a recent bout with a  neighbouring Delaque ganger gives any indication, it's less than cheerful.

That's it! Now I only have to paint my gang's Slopper Lyza and their Rogue Doc Dr. Lyna Haezzar...

Cheers!

Repies:

@ hushrong: How's about 'Good Girl' as the feminine of 'Made Man'?

@ Atia: How's about the rest of the girls?

@ Castigator: I see what you mean. I did the tournament scene with 8th for a while, and must say it's intense. More fun and diversified, but also intenser because of it. Glad you like Daisy!

Awesome work Augustus, the Khimerix turned out really well.

Not sure if you're aware, but we're currently running a Necromunda painting campaign here at the B&C, might be worth your time to take a look: Turf War II.

Finally managed to paint my Escher Gang's hangers-on; a Slopper named Lyza and a Rogue Doc named Dr. Haezzar

And finally, I painted a champion that will join my ranks when I reach a reputation level of 20... Furia Yax

I hope you like them! Comments more than welcome.

@ Bjorn Firewalker: Cheers, mate. Glad you like them.

@ guardian31: here they are!

@ Lord Ranulf: That sounds like good fun. I'm done with my Escher for the moment, so I might join with my upcoming Goliath gang...

@ Castigator: Thank you so much! Coming from a flamboyant painter and converter such as yourself, that is high praise!

@ KingKurama: Hey buddy! It has been sooooo long! Good to see you back on the board!

Whoa, buddy, you are on a freaking roll with that Escher gang! I hardly know where to start!

  • the gang itself is looking rather wonderful! I love the amount of strong colours on display, and the added critters and hangers-on add a huge amount of character! My favourite part has to be how the doctor still wears animal print, because Escher. Brilliant work!
  • What really blew me away, however, was the terrain, especially the close ups of the various wall sections, bulkheads, etc. Like, I don't even... Beautiful stuff!
  • great to see your new laboratory -- I actually had to smile at seeing those labeled boxes, remembering you super-streamlined working process with nary a wasted movement that I got to witness when you showed me how to properly apply decals and when you magnetised my WE Contemptor! :)

This wouldn't be one of my comments, however, if I didn't find something to nitpick about, so here goes: I thoroughly dislike the practive of painting model names onto the base rims (mostly because it kinda destroys the rims role as a transitory space that takes you from the in-universe game world and our world, a kind of "palate cleanser", if you will), but even moving beyond my personal taste, I think you haven't done a particularly good job of it: I get how you were probably going for a rough, brushed-on graffitti look, but it actually looks like somebody with far less talent and brush control painted those names. Maybe that element could use a few tweaks?

In any case, keep up the brilliant work, buddy! :)

I wait in anticipation, I'd love to see some quality Goliaths painted up.

With my gang sorta kinda finished, I'm now putting my attention to finishing my Sector Mechanicus MDF terrain, that I got off TTCombat back in February

I must say, this stuff is amazing. Helped with the Dingues de Jeux-method of using Molotow markers to highlight MDF terrain as well as providing excellent super fast streaking grime, I'm fairly confident I can crank out the stuf fin a couple weeks of working on it for a couple hours a day. I started with the two generators I build last month and they're now finished! Along with a set of stairs, I am now confident in my ability to quickly crank out something that looks nice and cool, weathered, and also is obviously a nod to the 90s cardboard Necromunda terrain. behold:

Cheers, and thanks for the comments

@ KrautScientist: Thanks for the exhaustive reply, buddy! Much appreciated. And I agree about your assessment of the names, to be honest. I think I'm going to just make them black. The red stripe is necessary though, as line of sight is determined by an arch...

@ BCK: I hear you, and am going to make the edges black.

@ Bjorn Firewalker: Cheers! I aprreciate the feedback re: the Khimerix. And will change the bases.

@ Lord Ranulf: Yeah yeah, I will! Patience, as I first need a 3D board painted!

@ guardian31: Thanks! Haha

@ Atia: Nooooo come into the Munda fold!

The gang looks fantastic but your work on the terrain is jaw dropping. I used to have something similar for Infinity but the TTCombat looks amazingly detailed.

I def want to pick up some of their pieces. I just hope mine can look a fraction as nice as yours. The paint job and grime you’ve done are fantastic.

Atia: Nooooo come into the Munda fold!

Haha. I need to admit, I have a bunch of unpainted stuff here waiting for the release of the second plastic sprues so I can finish my Eschers and start the other gangs with the big pile of stuff and options  :whistling:.

Great work on your scenery!!!

HEY GANG!

Work continues on the MDF scenery, but today I made some efforts to make a new miniature for my Escher Leader. My original one, based on the classic metal Mad Donna Ulanti was armed like so:

nJ50VHy.jpg

However, I never actually bought her a Stilleto Sword - she got a Power Sword. And as much as that sword also has some kind of power line thingy like regular power swords, I think we can all agree that this is a stilleto sword. Also, by ransoming a captured Delaque ganger not for credits but for gear, I got my leader a Master Crafted Flechette Pistol. Unfortunately these things come one per Delaque sprue and are good - which translates in them being out fo sale constantly on bits sites. I found refuge at ShapeWays. She also got a Chem Synth and a Drop Rig, so here's what she looks like now:

reB1U4q.jpg

AE8npfS.jpg

The sword is made from the blade and the pommel of a SM Tactical Squad Power sword drilled in so they fit the diameter of the GSC staff the original miniature is holding. Pretty cunning, don't you think? ;) She also got the drop rig bit from the SM Scout sprue I happened upon looking for something else.

That last sprue also had a SM Scout Heavy Bolter. And as I always am looking for a Heavy Bolter (gotta roll that 10 for rarity at the trader sooner or later) and my gang's Reputation will soon be high enough to get a fourth Champion, I decided to make one! Enter a convoluted mess of pinned bits:
jDSBdVC.jpg

Yeah... the arms are pinned to the torso, the hands to the arms, and the gun to the hands. That took quite a while to get right. I'm going to greenstuff it smooth and then decide which head she will get.

That's it so far! I hope you like these WIP miniatures!

Please let me know what you think and if you have any ideas on them.

Cheers

@ hushrong: The paint job, including the grime is just simple airbrush work combined with Molotow acrylic markers - SUPER easy!

@ Bjorn Firewalker: Cheers, bud! *GeneratorS ;)

@ Kizzdougs: I love the game so much! I was a big fan of it in the 90s and never could afford or play much, so now I'm having a ball with it.

@ rednekksboss: Thank you! Continue the development of your speed (which increased incredibly between Charlotte and Martha) and you'll be pumping out those excellent miniatures faster than you can sculpt them soon enough!

@ Atia: I knew it! I can feel your desire. It destroys your focus, makes you weak....

Oh boy, my focus is small enough as it is haha.

Cool conversions though! Is the heavy bolter that good for Eschers? Tell me more :cool.: *starts to take notes*
