I’ve been busy repainting my IG army’s bases, for AoP, but...

Oops.

I got distracted by the thread about Chaos Lords and WarriorFish’s comments (and his battle reports. It’s all his fault really, blame him! :D) and ended up starting on a twin-claw Slaanesh Lord using a Space Marine Hero and some DE scourge wings. Body needs to be Chaosed-up and the wings moulded into his backpack. And trophies. Lots of trophies.

Will be based as if flying.

Talking of bases, I really must get back to my IG...

Who is he new Lord? I like where he is going :tu: i you have him in a flying pose I would alter the position of the feet, pointed down perhaps.

 

Also, what are you dong with the bases?

He’ll be modelled in-flight, leading forward, which means his feet actually are pointing downward.

I need to add trophies, perhaps some cabling/drug-pipes, trophies...and will likely model the wings not how they look there - straight out to the sides - but angled backward.

Who he is...I’ll have to try to fit him into an Inspirational Friday price sometime. :)

 

I’ll try to have him built so I can paint him for Call of Chaos, alongside my Slaaneshi IW TDA lord and Oblits.

My Slaaneshi Iron Warrior Chaos Lord, head of a small IW contingent allied to the Psychopomps. Sonic oblits still to be made.

...and he’s my sole entry for Call of Chaos.

Power axe (arm is magnetised) and combi-plasma (ignore the powerfist. The combi looked so much better on the back of there than a normal arm). I tried to pose him a little reminiscent of his primarchs 30k mini.

That's an awesome looking conversion. And a nice throwback to the early 40K days when the Iron Warriors were a Slaanesh-dedicated legion!

 

I will say he looks like he could do with something on his back, but that might just be me. Perhaps a sort of enlarged power-plant backpack...thing to overcharge his armour's servos?

Glue arms on - I have them blu-tacked in place now and the gun-arm later sagged from its stretched-out shooting pose...but looked so much better. I’ll probably glue it in this new pose in the end.

Oh baby. That is a beefy model, and the paint job is both unexpected and awesome. The subtle freehand on the carapace looks great, as do the tiger stripe 'hazards.'

The freehand breaks up the solid metallic nicely, and the haziger stripes are inspired :D

Oh man, that's glorious! Those stripes are just magnificent. I'm also rather fond of the markings on the steel armour, it reminds me of acid-etching on baroque/gothic metalwork.

Chest eye is pearly (though that doesn’t show so much in the photos)

Base. Idea was that it look like he teleported in a-la an Arnie-terminator, hence he’s stood in a dip. It came out alright.

He looks great, colours work very nicely with the subtle markings but he can't really claim the title of Slaaneshi until he gets his spiffy cape :lol:;)

That IW Lord is both scary and beautiful, as something Slaaneshi should be.

WIP on the first of the Slaaneshi IW Sonic Oblits...

The rockets will be replaced with sonics, something like the speakers on my land shrieker :)

All the Oblits will have different weapons (we’ll see how deep my bitz box is).
