After many years of being in this hobby and trying every army at least ones while waiting for the one true army that screams me. Lucky for me that my old friends at FW could be so nice and make it come true. So now I am finally making a plog for my future project, the Mechanicum!The plan with this force is well to simply make a large force with an allied Iron Warriors contingent. The Iron Warriors will be joining later when more kits have arrived for them.I will try make weekly updates but since I work in industry (Like the tech-priest I am) it might differ from time to time. Uvenla Posted May 12, 2014 Author Share Posted May 12, 2014 Thanks SW1!I got some time to paint today so made progress on my Questoris Knight 'Errant' As can be seen I am going to an Iron Warriors look on this guy and the same will be for most of my army so the Castellax and Thallax hat is planed will get the same treatment. A little close up on McGrumpy's face. And a last pic of the part that I am most proud of, the top shield. I got the right feeling that I wanted in the metal and that is thanks to my friend Freakiq and my work were I get to see a bit to much metal for your sanity. I got a bit locked at trying to finish my knight but haven't gotten so far. Been doing many thin layers of wash to get the gritty look I need. So made a small test on my tech thrall today, not done yet with him but this is how he is so far: Sorry for the background, haven't fixed a studio yet in the gaming club so this was the best I had.Will try finish this guy and four more tomorrow. Have to prepare my order to FW so I can complete the rest of he squad for the ETL. Sadly because of work making a few changes I had to rethink my economy and lower my vow amount to a safer number. Sadly I have had lots of energy being spent at work so I won't have time to continue until this Sunday. However, I will be making a "small" repaint on my thralls. Uvenla Posted June 1, 2014 Author Share Posted June 1, 2014 Time for a small update to show that I am not dead!After much thinking I decided to make small changes in my army colours. Switched the black to a more bluegrey colour on my thralls and plan for a more ultramarine blue style on my castellax that is up next on the table when these first five thralls are done.
