Yeah, I'll have a play around with it, it was just something I put together quickly to give people an idea of different possibilities.

I can also try to do some of the other chapter emblems if you want, I'd have to have a quick description of each though.

Don't worry about the Conflagrators. I'm having Carlson do a decal sheet for them, so the iconography will be found there. I mean, it's basically just going to be a black candle with a white ball of flame tipping the wick. They will be using Salamander Legion cuneiform, too. :)

Something like this ?

(Since this chapter has lots of chaplains, I thought a bit of skull iconography in their emblem could work, and set it apart from all the other grails in Blood Angels successor heraldry. Added a blood drop because the top looked empty, and it reinforces the fact its supposed to be a chalice)

Aether Swords :

Do you think the skull chalice should be white? Or would that look strange against the yellow/orange/gold of the Angels' shoulder pads?
I like the design though.

I was thinking it might look strange, but I can always give it a try.

Otherwise, what do you think of the idea of the skull chalice ?

Inkscape vector images. The skulls and some of the swords are from an old white dwarf that had DIY chapter help, most of the rest from : https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projet:Blasons?uselang=fr, a wikipedia project where they are vectorising free heraldry. Hope I'm not doing anything wrong with the White Dwarf images thing...

EDIT : I thought that adding a new colour to the scheme might be a bit too much, which is why I didn't go down the path of having black blue or green. (Anyway, blue or green skull ?)

Ah, I thought so, the style just looked... Off, not the kind of the thing you'd usually see as Space Marine iconagraphy (expect maybe the early Rogue Trader days).

Well, there's always room for tinkering, these are just quick things put together for the most part to see different possibilities.

Modern iconography is more heavily stylised than in RT I think, and generally use only one colour, or maximum 2. I don't know if that's what you were getting at, but I can see how that would be the case.

Of course, what I'm doing here are only propositions, you don't have to pick them ;-) I just believe that its easier to understand a picture (or sketch) rather than a line of writing

Battle Barge "Legacy of the First" - An ancient vessel with its origins dating back to the Great Crusade. The vessel was thought to have been destroyed by the Night Lords in the running battles between the two primarchs and their legions. The Blades encountered the remnants of the vessel and realized that the vessel was not only salvageable but nearly battle ready with full complements of weapons and equipment. After honoring the fallen brothers still aboard the vessel, the Techmarines set to work to repair the damage done by the Night Lords. Within a Terran year, the vessel was back to full operation and with the discovery of chamber that bore signs that the Lion had spent time aboard the vessel, it was made the flagship of the Blades. With the chamber treated like a shrine to the Lion, the Blades are confident that the vessel will see them to victory into the far future.

How's that for the Flagship?

I modified the IA found HERE

In my mind, I have the battle that sees the Legacy lost as companies of Raptors jumped on board and then finding their way into the ship through various means and ventilating the ship to space. With the Lion being found to be on another vessel, the Night Lords depart the ship and let the ship die a slow death as the environmental systems were damaged beyond fast repair.

Feel free brother, we welcome all comers. :smile.:

EDIT: Tweaked the Sentinels Homeworld section a bit, adding some info about the White Hall itself. I also added the Fleet Assets section, where I've detailed some of the Sentinels' more notable ships. Thoughts, anyone?

It's more of a personal thing for me I suppose, as a Blood Angel player it always annoyed me how little info there is on our Fortress-Monastary, as far as I'm aware it's never ever been named. As such, I didn't want such a situation with my Sentinels, plus I felt that it deserved some attention itself. :smile.:

EDIT: Tweaked the Sentinels' profile post again, just tidying up a few things and adding a Summary section at the start detailing some basic info for quick reference and such.
