Do any of you guys know of a place where they sell alternative models for deamonetes? I'm thinking about including a few in my lists but don't really like the GW plastic ones and can't find any metal ones that aren't over priced.

RagingHeroes Preying Mantis (personally i wait for the new models, even better).

Either Keeper of Secrets or Daemon Prince obviously.

Yes clearly. But i already got a Daemon Prince & KoS and i always wanted a true Slaanesh Heldrake. I'll see with models in hand if changing the wings and add flamers/Claws is doable or not.

You're right these are even better then the old metal ones or the witch elves.

The AoS Spite-Revenants would make interesting Daemonette counts-as as well: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-NZ/Sylvaneth-Spite-Revenants

Actually this was my first idea, but 50$ for 5 demonettes seems a bit much. Still looks cool, so I'll go check in the used stuff at my local game store, should be able to find some for a reasonable price.

I try to avoid 3rd party stuff unless it's exactly the thing I want, well made and not provided by GW itself.

And honestly, the Lady depravity is pretty much exactly the centerpiece I always wanted for my Slaanesh army. Once I'm "done" with my T'au and if we haven't heared any leaks or trustworthy rumours about a soon-to-come Slaanesh release wave by then I'll definitely be getting myself that model.

It will also look pretty awesome alongside Fulgrim in bigger games once GW decided to give us EC player the same love they gave TSons and DG. :)

I daydream about this a lot. Mostly when I am stuck in afternoon traffic. Fulgrim will be a treat for the eyes, new noise marines and sonic weaponry will be mind blowing, and will we see what's become of the Phoenix Guard terminators well after the heresy! Oh I can daydream about that.

Then I wonder if we will get any unique things. I forgot what it is called but Death Guard have a drone tank thing. To me, that came out of nowhere and I quite like it.

Everything is open.

If I recall correctly the only adjustmens EC got in the 3.5 Codex was that we got access to Sonic weaponry on Dreads and Preds additionally to the access to Sonic weaponry on all the infantry and bikes like all Slaanesh units had.

Which is all pretty awesome of course, but not really much we can use to speculate about new EC units or other shenanigans we might get. ^^

- Debaser

- Slaanesh Scorpion

- Sonic Dread with true rules (not just "add Sonic weapon to your Dread")

- Combat Drug stratagem

- Sonic Weapon stratagem

- Dirge caster come back

- Apothicary with a drug aura

- Glittershell, pain vent, Icon of Silence & Needle of Desire as new weaponery

- Chaotic version of the phoenix guard and palatine blades

Ah...but you forget the "Warp Amp", any dedicated vehicle could take. It forced enemy units to suffer -1 LD within 12, -2 LD within 6", and -3 LD within base contact for 20 pts.  It would be OP this edition, though.  So, maybe -1 LD within 6" and stacking to a max of -3 LD.

I think most of what you posted is very likely to happen. I also expect the Warlord Traits from "Traitor Legions" to return if only in name. We might also see the return of "Fueled by Sensation" for a 6+ FNP save. Or perhaps a return of being able to fight even if killed in melee.

You also have the Sensorians on pg 48 of the codex working with the Dark Mechanicum to create new daemon engines equipped with "suites of sonic weaponry".  Also the Slaaneshi Subjugator and Questor titans from Warmaster.

Potential Stratagems:

Advancing and charging.

Additional movement (move twice, or advance 6"0)

Falling back and shooting.

Falling back and still being able to charge.

Shooting the unit your in melee with with Sonic Weapons. (Mechanicum got this one already)

I think something that give +1 strength to sonic weapons like the maxed out cacophony formation in 7th would be nice, a special character with an aura, a stratagem, a warlord trait or a relic could easily do that Edited by Lord_Quesnel

Haven't played against Grey Knights yet but since they are fairly elite I'd probably put my money on mass dakka. Noise Marines should put in some good work especially with some psychic and stratagem support.

Double shooting Lascannon Havocs should be pretty efficient as well.

Make sure to bring some cultists to deny him Terminator telporting shenanigans.

Something like this?

Bataillon detachment [ emperor's children ] : 6 CP

Daemon prince: 156

Malefic talons, intoxicating elixir

Sorcerer: 102

Force sword

10x noise marines: 248

Doom siren, 2x blastmasters, 8 sonic blaster, power sword

10 cultist: 40

10 cultist: 40

Havocs: 165

4x lascannons

Looks good to me. Maybe give the Noise Marine champion a power weapon and/or Doom Siren instead of the combi flamer tho.

I'm really just speculating. Never played against Grey Knights. I just know that GK stuff is expensive and even if he has no vehicles in his list Lascannons are still fine when shooting at Paladins despite their 5++. :tongue.:

So, like a Conductor or Orchestrator? Lucius's new book The Flawless Blade has a Slaaneshi Sorcerer that called himself an "Composer "of Slaanesh's song.  Their also "Choirs of Noise Marines", which sounded rather naughty.

The Flawless Blade:

Lucius stood his ground as the legionary swung the sonic amplifier cannon bolted to his forearm up, levelling it at the Eternal’s chest. Raw noise itched from the fluted barrel of the cannon, primed to be released with the force to shatter ceramite and liquefy flesh. It held for a handful of heartbeats, before the warrior lowered it.  A low intake of breath caused Lucius to brace for what he knew was coming. The Kakophoni screamed.  Weaponised sound blasted from every horn and speaker-grille on his armour, ripping out from him in a sphere of discordance.  Eleven other Noise Marines stepped out from their prisons. Slowly, they looked to their brother, and then their gaze settled over Lucius. Feedback crackled from the vox-grilles that studded every surface of their armour like gilded barnacles. They pulsed, glowing sharply with an arrhythmic violet light. The same light came from their eyes.

The fact that the legionary had spoken caught Lucius off guard. ‘You still speak?’ The Noise Marine nodded slowly, a single time. ‘I am Kathodos. Of the Circle, I have felt the least of the Youngest God’s holy voice, and so I am permitted to speak. The others speak only in war, and their voices are those that shatter mountains.’  We are servants of the True God,’ said Kathodos, as if anticipating Lucius’ thoughts. ‘Our souls are His to hold, and to order as He decides. His favour has gone to those whom He wills it to, and in the amount He wills it. Our pasts mean nothing, only His song.’

So, we have Choirs, Kakophonies, Composers and Orchestrators that GW can use to build out the "Sonic/Noise" elements of the faction in addition to the melee focused aspects like Duelists, Palatine Blades-men, and Phoenix Guard.  The Apotocary in the book is a former apprentice of Bile; who is a flesh-crafter, and how makes incapacitating drugs that he releases in battle.

A thick, rolling mist billowed down, a deep rose in colour. Slowly it filled the corridor, curling towards them in soft pink tendrils. The slaves began to see shapes form in the depths of the mist. Large things clad in spiked armour. Legionaries. The mist had reached him. It rolled forwards like a living thing of rosy smoke, surging up and into his mouth and nostrils. It filled his lungs, passing through the membranes to spin through his bloodstream. For a moment, Direnc was perfectly still. The shotgun clattered to the deck, utterly forgotten as he fell to his knees. His pupils dilated, growing so wide that his eyes appeared to have no irises at all. His hands shook. Tears streamed down his face, carving lines through the gore as he both laughed and sobbed at the same time. Bliss enveloped Direnc, utter, unrestrained and complete. He felt it pass into his heart and radiate out in ripples of ecstasy with every pulsing beat. It felt like being wrapped in warm silk, like the kiss of a roaring fire in the ship’s freezing lower decks. It felt like love, honest and asking nothing of him. It only gave, true and unending.

Sound like a greater inspriation for a character aura.
