Really enjoyable read brothers smile.png Iron Within, Iron Without!

Looking forward to seeing the next one. More points and a larger board maybe? Or even more players, two separate forces raiding the same target trying to get the most resources?

Haven't played for years so this may not work in the modern rules, but giving the defenders slightly better movement range could be a good way to account for it being on home turf. An extra inch or so.

Maybe if more than a certain percentage of shots from one squad miss then they have to roll to see if they breached a wall or hit something explosive, which could explode and damage the target further? A little extra bonus to make up for poor marksmanship tongue.png

That raises an interesting question, what were the frigates of the Space Marines Legions ? Gladius ?

Cool stuff, dudes. Keep 'em coming, that's pleasant stuff.

Extinction had that info. Check the Fleets of the Heresy thread. I'm not sure, off the top of my head.

Glad everyone enjoyed, we will definitely be broadcasting when the next game comes around.  Maybe we should make this an interesting "campaign" for just the two of us haha.  Just record the battles, and write little narratives on it.  Just have to come up with some fluff and all.  But of course heathens would need to want to do this as well!

Oh, I want to sooooo bad. Just this little game with Armond has me all riled up to start making a crap-ton of infantry of all types! :D

This was the best game I think I've ever played.

You hear that, y'all? Play Blood in the Void. All the cool kids are doin' it.  :P

It was definitely fun and can really contribute to the growth of a campaign! I am looking to take this experience once I have move out to Okinawa!

I still vote game two as a surface battle. Maybe I end up in high orbit near an IW planet and send my ADVON Company down to recon and target potential targets for parts to repair the damage done to my frigate by the IWs when thu boarded us.

I think that could work, whether I snagged what I needed or not, I would have to return to my anchored vessel to either escape your pursuing forces or to ensure I can get the parts back to the ship.  So ya, you would probably attempt a breach on the hull, I would send guys out to stop you before you can get in and possibly interfere with possible repairs?  This can go a lot of places!

I hope that Armond and my game not only was enjoyable for y'all to read, but also proved that smal scale HH games are not only possible, but can be quite enjoyable as well.  :)

Dare I say, Blood in the Void games may be an excellent way to introduce newer players in all your areas to the Heresy setting. Most of you crazies are planning another army anyway ( ), and this would be an excellent excuse to build a small 1000 point army to match your own, craft some Space Hulk esqe corridors (or be lazy and buy an old board like me, lol), take it to your LGS, set up the board on an empty table with each of the models on each side of the table, and wait for someone to take the bait.  :D

Finding other Heresy gamers can be difficult, but this could be an excellent way to bring it to THEM. Part of the Ship.....  ;)

On that note, I will be shortly moving this thread to the Battle Reports section. I hope y'all enjoyed!

Thanks for the report. Looks like a very fun game.

I like the idea that some walls are considered to be exterior and high strength shots that miss their targets could breach them. Makes taking meltas and las cannons a bit more risky. Or fun depending on your outlook.
