I hope that Armond and my game not only was enjoyable for y'all to read, but also proved that smal scale HH games are not only possible, but can be quite enjoyable as well. :)

Dare I say, Blood in the Void games may be an excellent way to introduce newer players in all your areas to the Heresy setting. Most of you crazies are planning another army anyway ( ), and this would be an excellent excuse to build a small 1000 point army to match your own, craft some Space Hulk esqe corridors (or be lazy and buy an old board like me, lol), take it to your LGS, set up the board on an empty table with each of the models on each side of the table, and wait for someone to take the bait. :D

Finding other Heresy gamers can be difficult, but this could be an excellent way to bring it to THEM. Part of the Ship..... ;)

On that note, I will be shortly moving this thread to the Battle Reports section. I hope y'all enjoyed!

You heard the captain!

Part of the ship part of the crew!!!!

I am actually excited about building another unit and equipping them for fluff and seeing how they fare in shipboard combat! Or void! Anyway, this is definitely an easy way to get people into like 30k and shows that at lower point levels you can still have tons of fun(lol, nickname of a basic trainee I knew).

Anyway, we just have to coordinate a second game! Who knows what we will come up with next. Well actually second will prob be the planet side battle! I dunno how many points, but I would say somewhere between 1250-1500 to easy ourselves into learning the regular aspect of 7th edition rules!

Good call on moving to batrep section, spreads the goodstuff to the other places in the board!

Oh, almost forgot. Considering my Vet Sergeant failed to kill a damn thing, and this fella below did, the new and freshly promoted Sergeant of my Vet squad is.... Mohawk Axe guy. Musta butchered at least six of Armond's guys by himself. :D

I hate that guy... ;)

Hmmmm, i had been thinking about a HH force as a project - and I do looooove my siege marines........

Dammit heathens, you made me make a MM kill team too! Well, better man up and pick a Legion.

*sigh*

Do it, and you will NOT regret it! Make two 1k factions and smash away at eachother!

Awesome pose and expression!!

Zone Mortalis and Strike Force seem to be awesome entry level game formats.

They are definitely awesome! They are exciting and entertaining and go towards making awesome fluff fodder!!!

Not really a surprise. That guy has got "I'm gonna murder you to death", written all over his face.

Oh no doubt, that gutter trash found himself face-down, like all warriors of so declared iron shall find themselves.  Should that not be their end, then theirs shall be one of a skittish prey-thing whispering their fears to the lights overhead.  Their hushed tones, pleading for the dark as deep as the void to stay at bay; then night shall fall and the sons of Nostramo, the scions of the Night Haunter, will fall upon them as the crag cougar upon its latest meal.  Ware the night sons of iron, for before the tell of time shows as rust upon your armor, we will visit upon you vengeance...

I mean SM back packs DO have maneuvering thrusters...and I wouldn't doubt them having access to jump packs xD

Edit: Oh man this just conjured up the FUNNIEST mental image of Night Lords trying to manual maneuver their crippled ship from the outside!

My limited layman's understanding of space says that is totally possible (and has selective reading, so don't bother disproving it).

The question is, is the ship's steering wheel close enough to a port for one of the Night Lords to be able to reach in and steer while he pushes?

Who's gonna bring it? Your vaporized Champion, nuked Contemptor, or extinct and split apart Tactical squad? ;)

Hopefully they ain't gonna try to travel in that engine-less Frigate of yours.

Maybe we can scavenge some parts from those two dreads you left behind? That is of course after ripping their inhabitants out of their sarcophagi and flushing them I to the void like refuse.

I am truly anxious to get back on the board and take some revenge!

From my limited understanding, due to the complete lack of friction, unless they are fighting a gravitational pull the only thing they'd have to overcome is the vessel's inertia. So get out those land speeders, thunderhawks, raptors, storm eagles and mush!
