These guys are great. The runes on the shoulder pads are fantastic and the power weapons look great. Love the color change along the blades and fist.

Wow the lightning claw guy looks fantastic! Great work as usual!

I love all the colours you have going on in here.

The lord regent is pure awesome.

Ace work with the power sword and lightning claws.

Really liking the gory base of the Lord Regent too.

I have been absent from the hobby for quite a while now due to college and work complicating things, finding the spare time to do everything i love to has been hard, but i'll be coming back (hopefully) soon. plans currently are to finish what i've started, and then jump on the deathwatch hype train as soon as possible! i plan on at least 2 mixed 10 man kill teams and some sort of transports, thinking drop pods and a landraider/Corvus at the moment... maybe a watch captain too? we'll see next payday lol.

anyway, apologies for the lack of content as of late, but i'll be back. Soon. biggrin.png

Wow man you have really stepped up your painting since the start of the thread! Not to take away from your earlier work which is still reall good looking, but the more recent stuff is just fantastic. The detail on the knight's helmet especially... just wow. O_O

I had the same thoughts looking at my older models for this thread when i had everyone lined up for the last shot here...

I'm so glad that i can improve like this and look forward to getting even better in the future! i owe alot to the help and inspiration on the BnC for sure. happy.png

Well. Here's what i got! 99% done save touch ups and fixing mistakes.

Freeblade knight, Crusader class

designate: "Malias" (Orphan) ::formerly "Kikorva Dei-Axva" (Valiant Ruin)::

origin household: Chyvor

Origin planet: Locoryia, 2nd moon of Tundara.

Almost too small to be considered a true knight household, the members of house Chyvor were often rarely seen outside their homeworld and its' moons, unless tied with the Astartes chapter sharing their home planet when deployed on missions in nearby systems. Typically serving as peacekeepers and sentries watching over their shared home, the members of house Chyvor were devastated when the Imperium arrived to purge the heretical Tundaran Knights and their allies from the face of the system.

Malias (Mal- E-As) is one of only a handful of surviving warmachines to escape with the Tundaran Knights after their retreat from imperial space, and is a resource used only in the most dire circumstances when shock and awe tactics are used to the chapters' favor to turn the tides of a war that would quickly turned to a protracted and costly affair.

I'm incredibly happy with the progress i've made thus far, and seeing the army as it is right now all otgether on the board was a fantastic reminder of how far i've developed my hobby since i began the project almost a year and a half ago now.

And there's no way in hell i'm done yet. devil.gif

my next addition to the army is what i need to figure out next... the fire raptor definitely needs to be done, and i need to finish the leaping contemptor...

i'm planning on going out to buy some deathwatch marines today as well. but after that? i'm not so sure! confused.gif

maybe it's time to add some tanks? a Sicaran? more fliers? a fire raptor? more breachers? ideas are more than welcome!

Congrats on 2nd place! I think some tanks would be nice, although I am curious to see what you'll do with the deathwatch marines too. And I wonder how high contemptors can leap tongue.png

I decided to get my hands on a squad of deathwatch marines, devastators and a drop pod, and i hope you'll all like what you see over the next couple of updates.

(and a contemptor can jump pretty high when it's got wings and a jump pack. soon brother, soon...msn-wink.gif )

anyways!

just another badass/ counts as assault marine:

he's using a stolen thunder hammer just btw, i had to make this pose as soon as i saw that giant hammer golly!

and yes he needs a lot of clean up still! lol

Thunderhammer guy looks like he's about to get a new highscore on the strongman game at the carnival. Awesome conversions, and a contemptor with a jump pack makes it sound like a gundam haha.

i like to think he's playing whacka mole too, just with guardsmen and crisis suits

Thank ya brother! i've decided to sink my teeth into a sicaran as my first vehicle for the army, i'm honestly not a huge fan of most the marines tanks save the vindicator, spartan, and sicaran.. although the new hover tank leak looks SICKKK

just a quick update today, finished my 9 deathwatch veterans, terminator captain, and librarian, now all they need is a ride.... but i hate the blackstar model so much.... and METAL BAWKSES are just meh...

Well if you're taking anything other then power armor you pretty much have to take the Blackstar fugly stick or a landraider. If you're going for an all PA team (which it looks like there is already a terminator in there so probably not) a hover rhino would be awesome with them ;)

Well if you're taking anything other then power armor you pretty much have to take the Blackstar fugly stick or a landraider. If you're going for an all PA team (which it looks like there is already a terminator in there so probably not) a hover rhino would be awesome with them msn-wink.gif

Great looking assault squad, is the Kurnoth Hunter going to be part of the army? Or different project/army?
