So after a ridiculously long gap I finally managed to get some further work done on the Contemptor.
 

 

Now... I'm generally pretty happy with it, especially after such a long gap but.... I dunno, there's something about it that doesn't quite feel right about it. 

 

As always I would be happy of some CandC.

The blue is really nice on the Contemptors. Maybe there is a bit to much red in the center of the model, and the metals could possibly use a little bit more highlight especially on the to make them pop a little more.

Yeah I was thinking that with the Red on reflection.  The only thing that makes me want to keep it is that the ole bats head is traditionally red winged.  hmmm, might think on that one.  Weirdly a friend has suggested that actually the head is a little too bright and could do with dulling down.

Looking at the FW one there is less red on the trophies and more skin, maybe I should look at that. Also the skull itself is white.  hmmmm

So following some great feedback (Thanks @The Hydra) I did some quick work on him, trying to break up some of the red in the centre and adding some initial lightning (my first inclination is that I should add some more - looks a little lonely lol)  again would love to hear what you think.

 

 

its worth noting that the white of the skull is shaded better than it looks, clearly the phone camera cant quite manage it lol.  it will also get dirtied up when I weather the model.

I think changing the colour of the skull has helped a lot. It draws attention to the middle of the model but that's not a bad thing. Does look a bit bright but as you said that's down to the pic.
