I suppose we can't be 100% sure. Tempestus ends with the Canoness, her remaining few Sisters and the last of the Scions being backed up into a control tower and fighting for their lives against a seemingly endless wave of Tyranids but it tells us nothing of the rest of the planet. There's an extremely slim chance that Lysios might show up within the Shield of Baal campaign book as an active battleground rather than one the Tyranids have already taken, thus giving the Sisters elsewhere the potential to achieve something.

I would have expected nothing less for a world with literally nobody of note on it except the Sisters of Battle. An arrangement like that is just asking for some sort of campaign event to come along and wipe them out.

So is this the canoness in the past or the current time one that fought the inquisitor that dies?

Well lets hope it goes better than being wiped out again for GW golden boys to come to our aid...

Sorry if that wasn't terribly clear:

The Canoness that dies within the course of the novel was in a flashback some fifty years earlier (And doesn't even get a name).

Canoness Magda Grace, who is one of the major characters in Tempestus, is still alive by the end of the novella but seems to be backed into a corner with no hope of survival.

Thanks for the compliments and welcome, Raven. Unfortunately that isn't my work (ebay is a wonderful thing) but it's the scheme I plan to carry forward across the rest of my force.

Some news over at Black Library: http://www.blacklibrary.com/new-at-bl/new-from-gw-digital-editions-leviathan.html

No new models in the image as far as I can see :(

So it seems that the campaign will indeed follow on from the events of Tempestus.

"Shelse" is the name that the people of Lysios had given to the aquatic beastie they had taken to venerating as some sort of goddess in case you were wondering about the scenario's title.

I love how the studio doesn't even have enough Sacred Rose sisters to make a full force and is forced to use Martyred Lady, haha.

As long as they don't bust out a crucible that either destroys, brainwashes or pacifies tyranids...

Magda Grace: The onslaught is over. The Tyranids have been defeated. Against all odds, and in the face of the greatest threat this galaxy has ever known, we survived.

Dante: ETERNAL. INFINITE. IMMORTAL. THE SPACE MARINE I WAS USED THESE WORDS, BUT ONLY NOW DO I TRULY UNDERSTAND THEM.

Swarmlord: I have free will and I am not alone.

Forgot to post Earlier.

Got my book now, all Nid rules, all new units for them, nothing for Imperium, Nice background book which does have a bit sisters and some nice artwork of us now and then in the book but no new art work and no character information like we were hoping.

Reading it atm but does anyone want to know anything?

Any actual new Units or just new Formations?

somehow I am not surprised.

Assuming it covers the events that led up to the tyranid incursion on Lysios, does the campaign book mention what happened after Inquisitor Ulrich's lander made it back to his ship waiting in orbit?

It seemed as though things were set to go very 'Alien'.

I have the feeling that the story might get a IA3 vibe (Elysian Drops v Nids) where they injected soldiers with some 'nid DNA to enhance their combat capabilities.

But if they want to pacify nids... then I am not going to give a crap because they lose on the table either way :D

Just an odd thought, maybe we should start a Kickstarter campaign to get GW of there lazy buts. Maybe some free money with a contract to have them do something usefull for once, instead of making a S***bag for Tyranids (i let you figure out for yourself what i actually mean with the S***, i dont think iam aloowed to post that kind of fulgar language here).

Besides, who can refuse free money...nvm its GW.

I never thought I'd see the word 'sphincters' in a Games Workshop publication.

It's probably a good thing I can't find the leaked image anymore.

I will have to check, not read a huge amount thus far, its not a small book.

Its just a sad book for sisters though i'm afraid, I would advise if you do not already have it bought, give it a miss.

You can do better with the money elsewhere in the hobby, this is after all a £45 book... Not that really is the cost of a full squad for us but you know what I mean.
