varchilde
Noob question, but I assume these painting campaigns have run before? Is there a link to a previous event for info/inspiration? Thanks, V. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299601-alert-big-guns-never-tire/page/4/#findComment-3906565 Share on other sites

WarriorFish
I hope so! Your sig looks so lonely without much in, so a couple of images to spruce it up would go far There have indeed been challenges before, Big Guns is the third. You can find the links to them in the events archive, each successful participation earns you promotions in the Regiment with bonus promotions for secondary objectives. That's what you can see in some people's sigs - there's an overall Regiments of the B&C rank and each event has it's own associated rank and medal (up to sergeant), it's all detailed in the previous events You can also find the Parade of Honour in the archive where people can show off their completed vows in the name of the Imperial Guard which includes the mighty ETL as well as in-barracks events If you have any questions just ask and I'll be happy to help, but know that Big Guns will be starting soon! scatmandoo
Waiting for this. The tech servitors are itching to get this years painting quota underway. (Be nice to field an army where every unit is painted as I never have even since 3rd!) Brother Handro
I have a Paskisher on my shelf that I've decided to commit to a battle against Der_H and his dastardy Emperor's Children in a few weeks, so this looks like good timing!Er, also hi everybody! WarriorFish
Good to see you fired up comrades! Welcome Handro, this is the sort of entrance we like :D You can undercoat the model with whatever primer colour you use and it'll still be a valid entry so I recommend you get that done on your Pask if you haven't already. The crusade starts soon and will not be overly long so preparations for glory should be performed now! Any non-transport Guard vehicle is a valid entry, from any Guard list (e.g. Forge World). It may be primed but no more than that without commissariat approval, if you have a vehicle you've started on you'd like to use check first - repaints are also valid as long as it's the majority of the model you'll be doing, again check to be sure. If you have any questions please let me know :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299601-alert-big-guns-never-tire/page/4/#findComment-3906977 Share on other sites
Sviar
The challenge is starting soon right? Lucio
Does it count if it was a Guard tank in a previous life? I'm sure the 88th Phlegethos regiment would be happy to get close to all those lovely tanks with some anti armour ordanance.... WarriorFish
Depends by what you mean, we're looking for valid Guard vehicles only. What's that rumbling I hear in the distance? Sounds like... a herd of buffalo. Yes I'm sure that's what it must be. Definitely. WarriorFish
They're Guard vehicles so are valid, the paint scheme doesn't matter :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299601-alert-big-guns-never-tire/page/4/#findComment-3908878 Share on other sites
elmo
Indeed, any guard vehicle (but no transports) is valid no matter which heretical paint scheme you want to slap over it :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299601-alert-big-guns-never-tire/page/4/#findComment-3908922 Share on other sites

elmo
Adjusting my peaked cap at a more jaunty angle, cleaning off the leather storm coat and loading my bolt pistol ready for the call to arms. WarriorFish
Only the jauntiest of angles will do, precise to the degree of course! I like to give my coat a spray of xenos blood at least once a month, helps bring out the shine (Tau or Eldars is best, Ork is ok if you can't get anything else - don't use 'nid blood as it smells and can damage the leather). Then a nice clean with munitorum approved cleansing fluids and finally a good airing out from atop the antenna on the Baneblade. Got to look your best and set and example to the troops! CommissarZac
for the write up portion, I have been writting some fanfiction of my entry in the LORE section. Would it be acceptable to link it to the thread or should I just copy and paste it all in the thread?
