Errmmmm, while sort of relevant to StruManChu's plog the conversation it is sort cluttering up what is a place for him to share his mini's and background of his 2 armies.

No worries anyone, and no apologies necessary... I asked the question, and I do appreciate the robust discussion and the advice on putting the list together. Plus, it keeps my thread on Page 1.

I was actually going to email FW myself regarding this anyway, so let's wait for The Hydra's answer to come back and go from there. Frankly, given their different roles and status within the Legion, and also what they do in 'The Lion' short story, to me it makes much more sense to Grave Wardens to be able to be selected as a Troop choice rather than the Deathshroud, but that might just me I guess.

FWIW, Battlescribe does move Deathshroud to Troops when you pick PotL for Death Guard, so I'm going to assume I can until I hear otherwise. Not gonna buy anything yet though, as I've still got a fair bit of stuff to finish off before 'She-who-must-be-obeyed' will sign off on any more purchases...

Hello sexy B&C'ers!

Having been relatively destroyed by the flu over the last week or so and not got a lot done, I've made some progress!

But first...

One of the things that appeared over the Horus Heresy Weekender which very much caught my interest was this -

For those that don't know, this is the cover of an upcoming Limited Edition novel/la from Black Library called 'Meduson', which is obviously very pertinent to my interests...

Ignoring the Salamander and Raven Guard Legionnaires that are also in the picture, I think that this is the first pictorial representation of Shadrak Meduson. Barring fairly loose descriptions of him from in Feat of Iron and Seventh Serpent (not actually him, but who cares!), this is also the best idea of his armament and appearance that I have. Looks like Mk III armour with possibly a bionic left arm... And hooray for a Paragon Blade and some kind of pistol!

That aside, it also gives me a good idea for details like red and bronze/gold as spot colours for the force as a whole, as well as some indication that my thoughts on Shadrak Meduson post-Dwell might have some accuracy after all...

Anyway! Time for pretty pictures...

Interior of the Spartan I'm currently working on, which is QUITE THE PAIN TO PUT TOGETHER.

Although nothing like as bad as it was when the sides were too small.

This is the extent of my WIPs at the moment. I'm really aiming for as many Mk IV-looking marines as I can put together with the Iron Hands parts obviously being mostly Mk III. I'm not entirely sure what to do with skin tone, because the pale skin thing is pretty much a hallmark of the Night Lords and Raven Guard, and FW have painted Ferrus pretty tan.

I'm playing with some ideas for Death Guard Destroyers at the moment as well, but nothing worth showing yet. Many things to figure out!
