Well, I may have been considering a Mechanicum only variant of the Avenger Strike Fighter which swaps the Avenger Bolt Cannon for the Knight Styrix's Volkite Chieorovile.

I was even thinking of maybe not actually using the Chieorovile, and instead inventing a new Volkite weapon which would allow me to have two different profiles for when it's moved and when it's in hover mode - the latter being a normal profile, but the former being a short line attack similar to the Glaive's Carronade (albeit far shorter and less powerful) to represent the volkite beam strafing the ground

 

Maybe a 5" by 1" line that can be placed up to 30" away from the model's base, but has to be parallel to the hull...

So I thought I'd start a little semi-regular side project alongside another, bigger project I'll be working on soon: Legion Command designs.

I figured that seeing as both the Imperial Fists and Sons of Horus get their own Legion-specific command sets, it might be fun to sketch out some ideas for equivalents for the other Legions, so first of we have....the first:

Soon my sketches won't be exclusively 30k / 40k / human, and those that don't fit within the B&C's remit won't even be posted here, so you never have to see them :P

Dang, the spectrum of phoenix imagery from full on depiction to different levels of abstraction for the trim is phenomenal.

That'd be real cool - yeah I've done concept for a couple of Legion specific units, the Seraph Strike Squad & Fabius's Terata

Oh my, seems I've been outed - yeah, it'll be another couple of weeks before I launch it because I need to build up a decent backlog of concepts to make it a bit less bare-bones when it's launched, but it's in the pipeline

I uh, can't take all the credit, the trim is pretty much directly drawn from that featured in FW's existing EC units
