on Friday I assembled (mostly anyway) Ironstrider #2 and 3. EIGHT HOURS OF WORK. Since then I've been putting together Vanguard unit #1 (plasma calivers x3) and am trying to decide whether my 3 arc rifles belong in Rangers #2 or Vanguard #2. i'm leaning towards the latter.

Waiting for the next delivery to arrive - 3 Onagers and a Knight Warden (knight #2). although my hands are BEYOND full, so it won't hurt if it takes another week for then to arrive.

Good to see the mechanicum is busy like a Martian bee hive happy.png

Today i have been doing the somewhat laborious task of painting the leather on my rangers Backpacks mellow.png the detail of these models on one hand is great but on the other...a bit annoying(i shouldn't complain as they are really nice models) i cannot wait to finish these guys and start on my Onager (there's something cool about painting a large tank thats more rewarding than the wee troops, perhaps thats the motivation to finish the troops then msn-wink.gif )

@Vel'cona - yeah im dreading the ironstrider when it arrives....maybe that will be penance after enjoying the onager laugh.png

I basically finished assembling my Sicarian infiltrators, Aside from some minor gap filling and looking for stuff to add to their bases like debris. I think they are about ready for a coat of primer. Ive also been practicing weathering and red colors for the Kastelan robots that I should get in the mail later next week.

Finished my Vow 1:

Finished my Liber II Challenge:

Just waiting on Kastelans to release this weekend for Vow 2. Already built my Thallax, etc. that will also be part of that vow.

Today I pleased the Omnissiah by doing some hardcore math hammer. I think I have found a legit way of how to calculate the probabiltiy that a certain blast marker will hit a vehicle chassis of your choice. For example, I have come to the result that the probability that an Errant Knight hits a Rhino with its Thermal Cannon when aiming at the center of the vehicle is around 83%. It checks out since the probability of scattering 3 inches or less for the Errant is around 72% and the average scatter tolerance for a Rhino is a bit more forgiving.

That way you can also calculate the chance of hitting if aiming at any point on the vehicle hull, as long as you have the dimensions of the vehicle.

Pretty cool. I'll see if I can transform my doodles into an Excel Spreadsheet for general use, where you just have to type in your BS and the type of blast marker you are using and get a result for every vehicle chassis on the game. Need to double check it with my Statistics Prof at uni in case I did any mistakes.

Praise the Omnissiah and his holy Hexamathic prophets! Very interested in this excel sheet.

Might take a while though. Right I do it by entering all respective values directly. Turning this into a genralized equation for those not as trained in the way of the number, so that you just need to enter blast size and BS to get your probabilities for a number of chosen points on the hull, will be a challenge all in itself.

But hey, at least the first step is done ;)

I am having fun solving mathematical problems :P

@ skeletoro - For now I am simply working with exact dimensions. I do not think that the hull can ever be a variable in the equation. You would just need to be given a prepared set of equations for different hulls.

Been slacking off for a couple of days. Been playing a game on Playstation... Yes I know I am a sinner for not dedicating my self to the Machine God.

But anyhow, back to the forge. Assembled some more miniatures, sprayed them. Now I have almost completed a "counts as" unit. Space Marine scouts made from skitarii. Using the bare heads, stub carbine from the Sicarian kit as a boltgun. Pretty happy with the result of the counts as scouts.

But the Playstation is also part of the Omnissiah's sacred works....

Aaah good one :) Then I can game on safely.
