Commissar Molotov
Always good to see how INQ28 can allow us to explore the edges of the 41st millennium! If you haven't, be sure to check out the INQ28 modelling and painting at the Ammobunker. KrautScientist
I heartily second Mol's suggestion! ;) Those tech-guard models are looking really promising! A very interesting mix of Empire and Skitarii bitz! WilhelMiniatures
Thanks for the comments guys! I'll check out the INQ28 forum at Ammobunker :D I've been working on more models for my INQ28 warband. Most Importantly the leader of the warband; Lord Inquisitor Hannibal Rex. This is another version of a model i did a while ago, my inquisitor lord on walking throne. I wanted to be able to use the same character in a game, so i decided to make the same inquisitor, only dismounted. I have given him the same torso and hairstyle, with mechanical legs to show how he walks around without the throne. I also made a grim reaper looking tech-priest, with a pet crow and plasma gun servitor. I'm quite pleased with his relaxed creepy pose on this guy. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Qu-o8abv2Ps/VYNiNmlrRbI/AAAAAAAAA54/Z8ToIgSjvc0/s320/InqHannibalRexWIP1.JPG http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-UZNfoF-nFcc/VYNiM-D568I/AAAAAAAAA5s/qC5Vv-RgLK8/s320/InqHannibalRexWIP2.JPG http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ueWy6iKacjA/VYNiRv81hOI/AAAAAAAAA6Y/Kqtbos8GUqA/s320/techpriest.JPG http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-5uiboG45K2s/VYNiQUAkBZI/AAAAAAAAA6M/y5lfpZYuS_0/s320/servogun.JPG I also made a Herald for my Khorne Daemonkin army. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-fX8klXs2BbU/VYNiMVWny3I/AAAAAAAAA5o/yq6GiVGxX40/s320/KhorneHeraldWIP1.JPG http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-BJq1NazB6xU/VYNiP0t49aI/AAAAAAAAA6E/BdZb27qFf84/s320/KhorneHeraldWIP2.JPG http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-NDcEvXH_0Ts/VYNiPWAOpoI/AAAAAAAAA6A/ZOYxfDPvzRw/s320/KhorneHeraldWIP3.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307358-wilhelmminiatures-wip-projects-040316-blight-terminators/page/2/#findComment-4093008 Share on other sites

WilhelMiniatures
I've been away for a couple of weeks, and haven't been able to update for a little while. I have however started to paint my Inquisitorial warband while I was away. I've decided to paint the miniatures in a pale colour scheme, with a bright read spot colour. This is what I've done so far. The first two are finished, and the next three just need some detail work. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NAkeROp2y1g/VZm9qmHDS5I/AAAAAAAAA7I/EbCIrir7jGw/s320/assassin1.JPG http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-91-w7JMcLyo/VZm9sWwTNPI/AAAAAAAAA7Q/OiMmwhRgAVM/s320/assassin2.JPG http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-M11UO7mFMH8/VZm9tb6emKI/AAAAAAAAA7Y/s3cGakgzbJs/s320/cape1.JPG http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hC_IB7C4dYU/VZm9ug2ti-I/AAAAAAAAA7c/9t1O9dcI24s/s320/cape2.JPG http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-sI_FfM1mWQ8/VZm9xER0BJI/AAAAAAAAA70/hWpuqMePs2w/s320/cape3.JPG http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vIMe4_au_dA/VZm9yhtBRBI/AAAAAAAAA8A/bhBGRsKA6G4/s320/riflemenwip.JPG Loving Inquisitor Rex, brother. WilhelMiniatures
I picked up the latest White Dwarf from Games Workshop toady, and this issue came with a toy surprise; one of the new models from Warhammer: Age of Sigmar. The first time I saw the leaked images from the new box, I knew I had to convert them into true-scale Space Marines. Here are the one i converted from the model in WD. He is possibly the first of many, since I'll most likely buy Age of Sigmar when it comes out. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ISqn8Sd1KaM/VZrRAbc8TTI/AAAAAAAAA8Y/5M12cxqPlBc/s320/Sigmarine1.JPG http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-vi09u_zKSv0/VZrRANlGNuI/AAAAAAAAA8U/ZCkEWwlUZEM/s320/Sigmarine2.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307358-wilhelmminiatures-wip-projects-040316-blight-terminators/page/2/#findComment-4115760 Share on other sites
WilhelMiniatures
I have to start this post by apologising the lack of updates during the summer. I've been away for the most part of the holiday. But now I'm back, and have an update on my INQ28 project that I would like to share. I have made two more true-scale Space Marines based on the Stormcast Eternals from the AoS starter set. One is ready for paint, and the other just needs some green-stuff work. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-AXz8wUdbboE/VcoJTn7xTyI/AAAAAAAAA9Q/W-4JvpicRY4/s320/Sigmarine2.JPG http://3.bp.blogspot.com/--8KfscuwQDE/VcoJTk5Kd0I/AAAAAAAAA9M/LdrG22ZAGMg/s320/Sigmarine3.JPG I have also put together some Mechanicus models to go with the rest of my inq28 warband. I still need to fill some gaps, and add additional details. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-btq11e58s4o/VcoJL64ckcI/AAAAAAAAA8w/zUfMGLJtF5U/s320/CorpseCartPriest2.JPG http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Xy-QLiSWxDk/VcoJN48pBGI/AAAAAAAAA88/Dq3vbk7HmtE/s320/HorseskullINQ28.JPG http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-i4iX3tVbc0g/VcoJTDSx47I/AAAAAAAAA9I/Q91pZu-zGF0/s320/SeveralServoarms.JPG http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-jCg99n94Usw/VcoJVNaxRxI/AAAAAAAAA9g/lZpYKLP4KJc/s320/Skitarii1.JPG http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-MqOeXUq1_Q0/VcoJNThG85I/AAAAAAAAA84/StlyPfyGKRY/s320/FWservitor.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307358-wilhelmminiatures-wip-projects-040316-blight-terminators/page/2/#findComment-4143713 Share on other sites

I really like to convert these models. They are among the most Nurgleish looking models GW has ever made. Even more so than many of GW's Nurgle models! The few heads that where used, where the severed heads from GWs Blight Kings. By adding some additional details, I made them look more infected by Nurgles many horrible deceases. The lumps was made by several already dry balls of any sculpting putty I was using at the moment. When finishing a project using green stuff, I often roll small balls of the left over putty for this purpose. To blend the lumps smoothly into the body, I used a lot of thick superglue. I added superglue to the body and dipped it in a bowl filled with the green stuff balls. When the balls had dried in place, I covered them with a second layer of super glue. I sprayed the glue with superglue activator immediately after. This made the glue dry in place, acting like a skin over the lumps, blending them perfectly into the rest of the body. Doing this is a lot more effective than smoothing it all together with green stuff. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-s1NQM7vnABs/VdRrNJfDvxI/AAAAAAAAA_Q/YrPYXxXkeVU/s320/IMG_7282.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307358-wilhelmminiatures-wip-projects-040316-blight-terminators/page/2/#findComment-4150763 Share on other sites

WilhelMiniatures
Brother-Captain Arkhan, I have played Dishonored, but haven't played the DLC. I did however check out the hellhounds, and they are a great inspiration! The Plague Hounds are now finished. I'm quite happy with them, so I'm going to convert the rest of the Chaos Warhounds box. This makes another 7 hounds. I think I'll need some colour variations on the next batch, any suggestions? http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VP8MVmkvnzA/VeCvaVzBVxI/AAAAAAAABAI/hGZf0JkNBig/s640/Pdawg2.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-O6pPcNH_Lgw/VeCvadddjhI/AAAAAAAABAE/KzPXvxj-eIo/s640/Pdawgs1.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-k_q5e6n-2nM/VeCvaWdxieI/AAAAAAAABAM/78AhKl0MiXo/s640/Pdawg3.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307358-wilhelmminiatures-wip-projects-040316-blight-terminators/page/2/#findComment-4158249 Share on other sites
GrandMagnus
How about looking up some images of rotting skin, you know the best inspiration comes from real life. Otherwise, some pale flesh tones with yellow or black spots could give off a bubonic plague vibe. WilhelMiniatures
Thanks for the tip, GrandMagnus! I just collected my entry for the open category at The Fang 2015. It has been on display at GW Oslo for the last couple of months, but I finally brought it home, and photographed it. It was hard to get a good photo of this model. You can it from more angles and details at my blog. This is one of the best models I've painted, and I'm very happy with the result at the fang. It got 1st place in the open category in Oslo, and 2nd at the finals in Stockholm. I hope you like it! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fKGaHJNKsKQ/VeLiyvXiT2I/AAAAAAAABAk/7X5KnA-wLXI/s640/beast1.jpg http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-WUjVyHqWobQ/VeLi3NzjYsI/AAAAAAAABBI/0uaWRZAn-4o/s400/beast3.jpg http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-7y1BEc07Sbw/VeLi48VjlgI/AAAAAAAABBc/ZfxBeYTRKd4/s400/beast8.jpg http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-mG8hT3c579U/VeLi2rI8C3I/AAAAAAAABBE/x_z382FykAM/s400/beast6.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307358-wilhelmminiatures-wip-projects-040316-blight-terminators/page/2/#findComment-4159229 Share on other sites

WilhelMiniatures
Thanks! That is indeed a human tied to its back. I like to think of him as the beasts driver. It has been a while since I posted some updates here, so I have a couple of new things to show you. First of is my tactical squad of sigmarines, ready to paint! http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-SuP9vAMjJus/VfX9aSmSfcI/AAAAAAAABCU/SfnwMAApjCA/s640/tactical1WIP1.JPG http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-FjHWQ-FNgCw/VfX9aE2fwmI/AAAAAAAABCQ/7l6hMJ928II/s640/tactical1WIP2.JPG I also made my own version of Electro Priests, based on fantasy flagellants. I always thought the Electro Priests should be weak humans, with electricity running trough them, not Space Marine sized brutes. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-XINTrtd1df0/VfX9ZeBdtkI/AAAAAAAABCI/Mp7gJVHZ7zA/s640/elpriestsWIP.JPG Lastly I started to paint an Imperial Knight. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-VM6OHb-9SCs/VfidBr-VaPI/AAAAAAAABCs/alvuSJO7eyQ/s640/IMG_7719.jpg These models are all part of the same project. Together with my Inquisitorial warband and some other mechanicus models, that will be my entry for this years armies on parade, in the end of October. WilhelMiniatures
I just started painting the Space Marines for my Armies on Parade entry. The rest of the army are mostly dirty white, black and grey, so the Marines really stand out. The fact that they are based on Stormcast Eternals also makes them a lot bigger than the human sized models. Hope you like them so far! The Electro Priests are almost finished, so I'll post them in a couple of days. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JdZw6zYxXMg/VgCLCoy2aCI/AAAAAAAABC8/_F1aOlVJmMY/s640/SigmarinepaintWIP.JPG Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/307358-wilhelmminiatures-wip-projects-040316-blight-terminators/page/2/#findComment-4177808 Share on other sites
Teetengee
Those guys are really different, but still very 40k, I love it.The helmets and cogs are the perfect thing to easily 40kify the stormcasts.
