WilhelmMiniatures' WIP projects-04.03.16, Blight Terminators

Recommended Posts

It's been a while since my last update. I've been busy working on my Armies on Parade project, but haven't taken any good photos of the progress. There will be a huge update this weekend, when the army and display board, are finished, hopefully.. There are still a lot to do.

I have however finished the leader of the army, Lord Inquisitor Hannibal Rex.

Thanks for the comments guys!

After Armies on Parade, I got back to working on my Horus Heresy World Eater army, and forgot to answer your comments before now. Sorry about that.

The Army is still on display in GW Oslo, and will probably be there a couple of more weeks. But once I get it back, I'll post pictures of the whole army!

I'd be very much curious to know how you painted the skin on those Electro Priests. It looks excellent.

Loving those conversions, by the by. Much better than the stock GW models.

The skin was based Flayed One Flesh, washed with GW's flesh shade (can't remember the name), layered with another layer of Flayed one Flesh, and edge highlighted with pallid Wych Flesh.

In between working on my WE, I stared on what's going to be a small Slaanesh warband. This is what I've done so far:

A couple of months ago, I made a small squad of Emperors Children, based on FW's Palatine Blades squad, to go with my converted Daemon Fulgrim. When I began converting my new Slaanesh Lord, I remembered that I hadn't posted the Slaanesh Emperors Children Squad. I also got myself a new lightbulb, which makes the photos brighter and less yellow. Enjoy!

I just started building some new models for my Slaanesh warband. There aren't many female GW models to choose from, and I never really liked the Daemonettes. But I got a box of them in my Spikey Bits Mystery Box, that I wrote about a week ago.

I played around with the bits, and came up with a creepy looking female model, that will fit perfectly in with the rest of the warband.

The inspiration i used for giving the Daemonette claws as feet, was some photos of Lobster-Claw looking shoes I stumbled over on Google. Few things look as Slaaneshi as these shoes.

I also made a couple of mutants to go with the warband. I used Space Marine backpack bits for their heads and mouths. They are supposed to look like some kind of sonic weapon, a smaller version of the ones used by Noise Marines.

I've been away for the holiday, so it has been a while since I last updated this blog. But now I'm back, and ready to get more models done!

I spent the day converting and kit-bashing some more models for my Mechanicum army, creating a Tech-Priest Dominus and a Tech-Marine.

The Tech-Priest was based on GW's model, which is one of the best models GW has done in a long time. I almost didn't feel the need to convert it. I did however change a few things, since I think the original model has too many weapons. To represent the models big gun, I made him a gun-servitor. I still need a servitor to cary some sort of close combat weapon, to represent the Tech-Priest's power-axe.

I also made a Tech-Marine based on one of the Sigmarites from the AoS box, to go with my "Sigmarines".

I just painted up my Tech-Priest. The model was converted yesterday, and painted today. I usually use more than one evening painting up a project like this. So I'm quite pleased that it turned out as well as it did. I tried to recall the same colour-scheme used on my Electro-Priests, and I think I got the colour on the robe about right. This is the first model of the year, and if I work with the same efficiency on future models, there will be a lot more!

I really enjoyed painting the Tech-Priest yesterday, so I decided to paint some more models in the same colour-sheme today.

FW's servitor, in Solomon Lok's retinue, has been one of my favourite sculpts for a long time, and I finally got around to paint it. The details, like the cable sticking out of his eye and the exhausts pipe on his back, really captures my image of a servitor in the 40k universe.

I also painted my servo-skull-gun thing, wich turned out to be a a quite nice conversion that fits well with the Tech-Priest.

Thanks for looking! I have more pictures of the servitors here.

In october last year, the Norwegian Armies on Parade was held in Oslo. My entry has been on display ever since, but now I've started to bring the models back. It takes some time to photograph every squad/warband at once, so I have decided to dedicate a few posts to AoP 2015, posting one squad at a time when I've had the time to photograph them properly. If you are interested in seeing the whole display-board in a quite poor picture quality, check it out here

The first post is dedicated to my true-scale Space Marines, based on the AoS Stormcast eternals.

Thanks Disease!

The next unit in my Armies on Parade army, it the one I call The Swordsman. He is a lone warrior, only accompanied by his mutant frog like dog-creature. To convert this model, I used a lot of bits from different boxes; cultists, empire, kroot, ruststalkers, FW renegade militia and the creature from the Hunrom Bøackheart kit.

I hope you all like them! I have a couple of detail-pitcture here.

That's amazing. Love the pole arm!!!

Thanks jimbo!

I have yet another update to share! This time it's the human soldiers fighting alongside the Space Marines, war machines and the other forces of the Mechanicum.

I planned on making a whole squad of these Imperial Guardsmen based on Empire and Mechanicus models.

I also made an inquisitor to go with them. But he didn't turn out as good as I hoped. I think I have to make him a warband in the same colour-sheme sometime in the future.
