How do they even move in those suits?

How do Terminators move or even fit in their suits? How do Mortis Dreadnoughts attack in close combat? How do they move?

Yeah I suppose you are right. Personally, I hate the really armoured ones, but the lighter ones with axes and pistols look nice.

So what's the general opinion on Earthshaker cannon vs Medusa cannon on the artillery carriages?

Other than the price-point Medusa's just feel really short-ranged on an immobile platform.

The armourbane shells look like a crapshoot with BS3 small blasts, though the extra 12" range is pretty  neat. I guess the low BS can be mitigated by nuncio voxes (I run my militia alongside my Ultramarines).

I'd rather have a medusa, ap3 on such a high strength weapon is disappointing. Just place the medusa center field and you'll still have plenty of targets.

I wouldn't bother with the breacher shells, ap2 strength ten is good enough already on a barrage weapon, no need for the armorbane.

How do You run your ultra/militia list? Do You have any basic/core idea of that kind of list? I want Myself built such a list but dont know how and in which direction I should go.

Do not use internet shorthand such as U in place of you.

Ultramarines have the perfect RoW for that right? You get an allied detachment of infiltrating, scoring, secret police warriors!

I do run Vigil Operatii, but only in games of 2.5k and greater. Being forced to pay 200 points minimum for the Militia force commander + provenances is too much in games smaller than that. Anything less than that and I just run grenadiers in arvus lighters or attach a vigilator.

I usually take either 2x 20 man infantry squads or 2x 12 man grenadier squads (with melta-guns). One is pure cannon fodder and the other is for melta-gunning enemy tanks turn 1. Plus thanks to being gene-crafted they fight like marines, though they still die like guardsmen.

Ogryns are good, but VERY expensive with power weapons. But unless your opponent routinely brings multiple str10 pie-plates, a large blob of infiltrating (and scouting if you attach the mandatory vigilator, plus he grants the unit stealth which is super useful) ogryns with power weapons hit like a ton of bricks and require quite a bit of dedicated fire-power to put down.

Question about the Arvus Lighter- would a Corvus Blackstar work as a stand-in for one? I don't know the relative size between the two. I frankly hate the Lighter's aesthetics, but I think a Blackstar that has been suitably stripped of weapons (aside from the TL lascannons) and Inquisitorial iconography would look fairly decent as a transport for my grenadiers. Thoughts?

Wow, I've never even noticed that flyer before.

Probably because it causes eye-cancer.

But it could probably be used as a stand-in (an ugly one).

Ikka, here's the dimensions of the Arvus for comparison: length 6.25'' / width 6'' / height 2.6''   :smile.:

Thanks! I was thinking the Blackstar because it looks like a combat lander, what with the directional thrusters on the wingtips and the fairly stocky, armored fuselage. I don't think the Blackstar is particularly great looking, but it beats the brick with tiny wings that is the Lighter, to me at least.

Charlo, I'm waiting for a couple eBay'd Nephilim to ship to me right now to make into Primaros Lightnings :)

Hi! I want to start a new Heresy army and I want something different than my close combat elite Sons of Horus army and I decided that my better options are Cybernetica and Militia, and I LOVE Korps of Krieg, and medusa/basilisks batterys, so... What do you think?

It's cool and that is a LOT of lascannons!

I'd say why not take another provenance if you can? Maybe Warrior-Elite for a nice Ld buff to combo with Stubborn?

AFFIX BAYONETS!

Hahahaha I use to play vs multiple Landrider lists so I need lots of anti tank weapons
