Having a measurement for height handy should be enough, or else a stand in model. In my alpha legion I use alpharius as my daemon prince. It's pretty close but if it's a key measurement I'll just bust out a tape or give them the benefit. Those TOs need to man up IMO. Modeling for advantage should be case by case not blanket ruled. It's like art vs porn.. you know it when you see it.

Thanks for the comments fellas.

I could do those things but it's more the principle of how my hobby is being dictated with the implication I did it to cheat, or any one else who wanted to modify the aesthetic of their purchased model.

If you want to have an impact I suggest emailing and asking GW if modifying the scenic base of your Shrike model is cheating or joining in on my venting on the todays show notes of Signals from the Frontline.

Given the responses I've had from the TO and ITC I can honestly contemplating how and if I attend events in future. Hobby and fun is first for me. Tournaments are just an opportunity for a few games in a weekend and to meet new people.

Still plenty to go on the Executioner

Once I'm done that I'll see plenty more to do for my new list

2x elimator squads

A few VVs

A couple of scouts

Another warsuit

5 aggressors (although I'll probably just paint all 6)

Well it's been a topsy turvy weekend!

I got side tracked making a couple of leman russes last weekend after the tournament I attended.

Then today I had planned to go skiing for the first time in forever! and the season. However, despite my best laid PLANS, our house which has been in the market for months, with little interest ended up in a mini bidding war! (not enough to splurge more on minis though :()

This meant I couldn't go dissappear on the side of a mountain for half a day.

It did however give me time to get back to my Executioner. Unfortunately this didn't go quite to plan either. Firstly I'm not sure what colour combo I went with for my supply packs on the hull I thought it was eshin grey + nulin oil (my standard) but when the wash dried it looked easy too dark. So I figured it must have been dawnstone and nulin but this was to light! <_<

So now I'm back to eshin and nulin but on a dawnstone base which might lighten it up fingers crossed.

Similarly I got 90%of the way through edge highlighting the turret only to realise I had been doing it with administratum grey and not dawnstone

So I had to go back and fix that too...

So despite a decent amount of time I got little accomplished fortunately recess washing the white went slightly better...

And for all the wall of text here's a pic :tu:
